Reliable Organization

I love Christmas and buy a lot of ornaments. I finally needed to upgrade my tissue paper only storage to something more reliable. I got a set of these for myself and was so happy. The dividers allow you to make any size compartments you need, and there are a lot of dividers. The box shell is fabric, but these are sturdy! Love that there's a clear top so you can see which ornaments are in each box (in case you forget). Finally organized, plus ditched pounds of tissue paper and couldn't be happier. Updated: I even gifted these to my mom the following year!

Convenient size

I use an over-garage attic (drop down steps) for storage. Moving various boxes up the ladder is difficult. I purchased two of these ornament storage boxes. I just assembled both (very easy) with dual inset trays each holding a 6x4 spacer grid (it can be modified for larger ornaments). One box holds 48 ornaments. But the big feature for me was the dimensions of the filled container: 7"deep x 13"wide x 20"long. End handles so carrying is a breeze going up those steps. I expected for the low price to have a fairly thin/flimsy fabric cover. It is heavy-weight material with good zippers for the closure. I chose red...easy to spot in the dimly lit attic without having to label it. Am I pleased? I just ordered a third to hold some other Christmas items.

Buy it !

The media could not be loaded. Love this ! Just had to order a second one , I do think I will place them inside of a tote for storage till next year since the tops are not hard , these are great organizers for the price ! And honestly they would be great for other things too like kids toys , can slide this right under there bed super easy !

Cardboard as base

We've finally gotten to the point where it wasn't cutting it to stuff our Christmas ornaments in a corner of the Christmas tree box, we needed an actual storage solution. This box is good, but as others have said, the base is just thin fabric and is not sufficient. We didn't have very heavy ornaments so I put a few in and picked up the box and they all grouped to the bottom UNDER the dividers. So I did what other reviews have suggested and cut a rectangle out of the box this came in and put it under the dividers to stiffen the bottom and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure why the manufacturer didn't just make the bottom stiffer to begin with, but oh well, cardboard is easy to come by.

You get what you pay for - it's okay

I like the concept. I think another brand might be a little sturdier. Theoretically, there are lift out trays. If you have ornaments that are not standard round balls however, they will shift around when you lift the tray. I thought the bottom was a little flimsy. I ended up custom cutting my own cardboard and using it on the bottom to give it a little more support. The zipper was also a little fussy. Not all that well made.

Reinforce the base!

This is an awesome ornament storage system, HOWEVER make sure you reinforce the base! I simply cut a rectangle to size using the shipping box it arrived in. Placed the cardboard rectangle down and placed the dividers on top of it- works like a charm! If you don't reinforce the base, then when you life the organizer up, the contents will "pool" to the center under the dividers. If you follow this simple advise, you will love your new ornament organizer! If you take a chance and not reinforce, you are only delaying the inevitable.
