A Must Have In The Kitchen

This unconventional shape works great for a potato masher. I don't know about mashing meat or why it's called a meat masher. Perhaps it would be a good tool to mix meatloaf with or something. But the shape of the tool makes mashed potatoes really fast. The shaft of the tool is sturdy and does not bend or flex. The tool head is hard. Because the individual blades of the tool head are so wide apart, clean-up is fast and easy because you can fit a sponge or kitchen sink brush in there to scrub off any stuck-on goo. It's also dishwasher safe if that's your go-to. The handle of the tool is just right and allows good leverage when punching the tool through whole potatoes.

Not necessary but

I watch a lot of youtube cooking videos and saw this gadget being used by one of the cooks. I have not used it yet but have all ideas that it will help to brown hamburger evenly and quicker. I do a lot with hamburger meat so felt it's price was reasonable. I love cooking summer squash with onions and this should do the trick for cooking the squash down the way I like it. Another reviewer mentioned using it to break chicken up for chicken salad or recipes that call for shredded chicken. Now I am getting hungry so got to go thaw that meat! I wil update if I find it is not a 5 star gadget.

This is a Game Changer!

This masher has cut down the time it takes to brown and crumble ground beef. I used to use the spatula to cut, cut, cut, cut, poke, poke, poke the meat. So aggravating. I wish I'd had the masher for years instead of weeks. It would have saved so much time of my life. I can't say how heat resistant it is because I don't leave it in the pan while the meat is cooking. But, I've used it a few times and it still looks brand new.

Better that I thought

I have had many flat measures over the years in the shape of this initially left me in doubt, but if actually performed better, then the old style. The handle is great and after you measure food, you don’t have to keep banging the utensil on the bowl to get the food out of the little holes and it cleans up easily.

Wish I had known about these earlier

This is such a great product for ground beef and turkey. We use it a lot for tacos and chili and it works so much better than chopping everything up with a spatula. I don't like it as much for ground sausage because the sausage sticks to it too much. We gave these as gifts to our adult children and they love them too.

Can’t live without

I don’t know how I ever went so long not knowing these things existed. They’re great for breaking up ground beef and such while cooking. The plastic seems durable although I would like to find a metal one just for longevity.

Sturdy!

We no longer use a spatula when making ground beef, and we no longer use forks for shredding chicken or pork. This works in place, for both actions, and way better! I used to dislike shredding meat. This makes it easier and takes much less of my energy. We continue to find more uses for it, also. Such as blending up meat and seasonings for meatballs or meatloaf, instead of hands

How did I get along without this for so long?

I bought this on impulse and then wondered why I did. Then I used it. It really does a better job of breaking up hamburger than a spoon or spatula. The curved blades are good for scraping the sides of the pan. The handle and blades are quite sturdy. Recommended to my friends.

I love this thing !

I've waited a long time to buy this but now that I finally did I wonder why I waited so long ! I love it and it's so useful too . I would never go without it . It's perfect for cooking ground beef or plant based ground. Afterward I pop it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking brand new to be used again and again and again . If you're thinking about it , just do it , you won't regret it

This arrived quickly and is a handy tool in my kitchen. I have used it to mash chicken/ turkey mince while cooking to prevent clumping and it has worked really well. The fact that it is heat resistant is reassuring. It is very sturdy and easy to clean. Very happy.
