Best wool slipper socks

I've tried a number of slippers and slipper socks, which failed for varying reasons: memory foam soles make my feet sweat and break down after a short time; slippers can be clunky and either have no heel or slip off your heel or aren't warm or make my feet sweat while they're still cold (or all of the above). These slipper socks are wool - which is ideal. They are like very thick socks, so my feet can move freely, I can curl up on a chair, my feet aren't confined. If you need sole or arch support, you'll have to consider a slipper instead. These are very warm, keeping even my toes warm, and no sweating. Making them even better is an extra layer of wool around the toes and sole to improve durability (and warmth!), and the sole has tacky bits that prevent slipping and also reduce wear and tear. I love these guys! I wear a size 8 or 8.5 in shoes, depending on designer. I bought these in size 7-8, and they fit over my regular socks without binding. I highly recommend these if you want warm feet without bulkiness or sweat. I'm about to order a second pair.

High Quality, but Has Some Problems

I was looking for a slipper/sock that I could wear inside or outside. Not for hiking or on the beach, but something that would just take me from house to car to a drive-thru, etc. Something for quick trips. When I saw these slipper/socks, I thought they'd be the answer. At first, I was a little put off by the price, as they are expensive, but I finally decided to give them a try. When I received my slipper/socks (shipping was fast), I immediately noticed that they seemed to be made of very high quality materials, something I greatly appreciated. However, when I attempted to try one on, I realized that the material that makes up the sock part has no stretch at all. I suppose this is because they must fit tightly around the ankles, but how is one supposed to even get them to the ankles when they won't go over the foot? (And I don't have big feet.) I can't see these slipper/socks going over any foot but a very small child's. I'm sure the shoe part would have been large enough had I been able to get it on. But, i couldn't, and I certainly didn't want to tear or snag it. Even though the slipper/socks seem to be made of high quality materials, the sole seemed a little flimsy to me. It's not going to offer you any support or protection from hard objects like pebbles if you plan on wearing them out to check the mail, but it would be fine for indoors only. I can't say if they are soft and padded since I couldn't get them on. I had to return mine. Kind of disappointed in that, but I did find a slipper/shoe, not sock, shoe, that I really like a lot better. Shoes have always been hard for me to find. I'm picky, and not much fits me well. I insist on comfort as well as quality and beauty. I'm not surprised these let me down. Even if you're not picky, like me, please be aware that these will only go over a very small foot, no matter how long the sole. Sad. The company really needs to make the sock part out of stretchy material. Three stars for quality, zero for fit.

Comfortable on the soles of feet, warm, but not too warm

So glad I bought these! I have crabby old feet - they long for the sensation of walking barefoot (no binding, no pinching, no tight fits), but they want some padding under the soles (seniors’ feet lose their fat pads on the soles of their feet). These Falkes are perfect for me. They are roomy but not too roomy. They are NOT padded with lots of fluff that gets bunched up between the toes, thank goodness. Easy to get on and off. I wish there were a summer version of these.

Really comfy and nice warmth

Overall, I'm glad I bought these and wear them every day since it's the cold season. The sole offers enough protection to keep my feet warm on cold tile floors, which was a concern. I wear a size 8.5 which means in some shoes I require a size 9. I ordered these in size 7-8 (the only size left in this color) and took a chance that they would fit. They fit with plenty of toe-room, so I can confidently recommend these in a slightly smaller size if you are a half-size up.

These fit tiny feet well.

It took trying nine different pairs of slippers to find these Falke cozy slipper socks. They fit my elderly mother's tiny feet very well. They stay in place and keep her feet toasty warm.

Not in women's sizes

I like the product, but I'm ordering my 3rd pair for my wife now. These, in her woman's size of 7-8, are LARGER than the men's one's she bought me for Christmas - and I wear a men's 7! So, I then bought their smallest size, well, they were too small! Now I just bought the in-between ones and am returning the smaller ones. I'd return the larger ones, but she wore them a few times. Assume these are men's sizes when ordering!!

Absolutely in love

Finally the sleeper socks which keep my feet warm! I had issue with all types of synthetic or cotton sleepers: they look cozy, but in couple of days my feet are not warm in them anymore. The wool works perfect for me, I'm totally happy!

Quality issue

I feel like the one pair I bought years ago was made much better~quality wise than this purchase. Wondering if Amazon gets a different quality as I couldn’t find the pink on Falkes website so the fact that Amazon had the pink makes me pause. The ankle was tight and the fabric felt cheaper. Hmm love this slipper but might try to buy direct from falke to see if they are better quality.

Expensive but very very good !

Ok so bought these for my Mum as she’s always suffered with poor circulation and cold feet. She’s incredibly hard to please and , honestly, she turns her nose up 9/10 of the time when I’ve bought her anything. Well, she really loves these , so much so she asked me to buy her sister a pair. I looked far and wide for something like this and was surprised that there were so few options available.

Best ever

Best ever slipper socks. If I could I’d buy more (will keep an eye on price as they’re not cheap), but will just do with the one pair. Haven’t washed them yet, but they’ll go in with the rest of my woollens. They are very well made and they are very warm, worn over thinner socks. I’ve got them for wearing inside my camper.
