Creative Idea

When I first purchased this trim, I didn't really pay attention to the measurements or even the word "trim" in the title. Truthfully, I was expecting a big banner saying "happy birthday". The day of my son's 1st birthday (and not knowing what exactly we were going to do with this trim) we decided that we were going to use it as a border on a giant poster board. All of our guests (it was just family) wrote a little message to our birthday boy and we left enough room in the middle to place some pictures from the celebration. My husband and I were so pleased with this last minute brainstorming :) Note to self: read VERY carefully the description and/or measurements before purchasing. My mistake turned out to be a really great project and keepsake for our little guy!

It did make the party setup more complete and fun!

This was not what I had expected, I wish I would have seen the review before I purchased this item. It is a TRIM DECO SIGN, do not confuse it with a banner as I did. They are about 2 inches high and about 3 to 4 ft long, but you get 12 of them. I got it for my 2 year old birthday party, though I did not use it for what I intended, I did use them through out the house to add a bit of flare to where it may not have had any. It did make the party setup more complete and fun!

Not suitable for my intended use

I sent this back and it is not worth buying unless you need expensive border for a classroom bulletin board. I, however, was looking for something that was more like a birthday banner and although it was my fault for not checking the product dimensions more carefully, it really does appear much wider in the picture than it actually is. There is really nothing that you can do with this as far as birthday decoration, which is what I was buying it for. The item was $8 to buy and $6 for the cheapest way to return it so make sure that it is really what you are looking for before you buy.
