A COUPLE DESIGN POINTS YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER

This is an attractive ceiling fixture and in my opinion it looks better in person than in the illustrations. Decent build quality. No plastic other than for the light bulb sockets. This fixture is very easy to install. Just screw the mounting bracket that comes with the light to your electrical box, connect the wires and secure the light to the mounting bracket using the decorative screw on caps supplied with the light. For me, there are a couple design short comings worth noting. I think this fixture ( and many, many others on the market ) were designed before incandescent bulbs disappeared and CFL’s and LED’s took their place. Many new bulbs simply won’t fit the space available behind the shade. On this fixture the shade is only12 inches in diameter which limits the physical size bulb you can use. Any standard incandescent bulb will fit and clear the shade. A 60 watt equivalent LED or CFL bulb will fit too but 75 or 100 watt equivalent LED or CFL bulbs will not fit. They are too long and will hit the shade. Also, the rim of the shade is directly in line with the three light sockets. This means the top half of the light bulbs can be seen above the shade when looking at the light from more than four or five feet away. Aesthetically this may or may not bother you but it’s something I though you might like to be aware of beforehand. I did come up with one solution where the light bulbs are not visible above the edge of the shade and has clearance inside the shade. The sixty watt equivalent Phillips Slim Style (flat) LED bulb does the trick. It clears the shade and does not show over the rim of the shade. Note the 75 watt equivalent of this same bulb is much longer and again, won’t clear the shade. The attached photo should give you a clearer idea of what I’m trying to describe.

Perfect for a 1939 house

It was easy to install- perfect replacement for the old chain and glass bowl one that was never there like in the other bedroom- fits the style of the home - good price point as well - it has good lighting only had 2 bulbs in this photo with 3 it’s just right!

These are beautiful; my one critique is that the pewter features on the fixture look very spray painted. I'd buy them again, either way; love the style.

Keeps burning out bulbs

I am having problems with this fixture. It keeps burning out 2 of the 3 lightbulbs. The SAME 2 light bulbs. That makes me think it is a problem with the fixture and not house wiring. Anyone else having this problem?
