It says 6 cups cooked rice but it is not referring to the standard American cup. They’re referring to the little plastic cup that comes with the product. it's my instantpot supplement

It's a small pot that deliver all the needed features. The pros: 1. I like the stainless steel inner pot. It is healthy and clean. 2. compared to instantpot, this is small, portable and light. 3. Other than using it as a rice cooker, I use it like other small pot, making soup, porridge, noodle, boiling vegetables, reheat food. 4. the clean is easy. I put the inner pot in the dishwasher. Or add some water after cooking to soak a bit. The cons: 1. it burns some smell out when first starting using it. The smell is gone after a few uses. 2. when making porridge, which means adding more water than making rice, it can overflow if no one was attending. It's not the pot's fault though. Just need to be there if cooking anything other than rice. 3. the electric wire is pretty thin.

Makes rice, does stick a little.

Replaced non-stick pot that scratched up again. Wanted to get away from the non-stick coating product. It makes rice same as non-stick pot had before. Finished rice does stick to the bottom of pot but nothing out of the ordinary like any stainless steel pot/pan. Soak in water and rice comes off easily. Can't tell on longevity so took 1 star off but this looks like old tech rice cooker that has been around for ages so expect it to last for decent time.

Rice Sticks to the Inner Pot

Well, I chose a cooker with a stainless steel inner pot in order to reduce the toxicity of my rice. Basically, I am avoiding nonstick cookwares. So, rice sticking to the inner pot is a given. So after scooping out what I can from the pot, I pour ample amount of water into the pot, bring it to boil, turn off the cooker and then leave it. The resultant "water rice" is consumed for the next meal. This way, there isn't much to clean.

Missing scooper and cup

Rice cooker looks nice and the size I need. But the box shows it was obviously used as the lid was ripped open, rice scooper and measuring cup was missing. Hoping it works when I try it. Also legs were loose.

It's a fast cooking appliance

This is a nice and fast cooking appliance. We're three at home and had to return the Aroma brand product twice until we got the right volume one (ten cups cooked rice). The smaller sizes were not enough. The rice sticks to the bottom until we found out that the solution was to put some little cooking oil to the bottom of the cooking pot before adding the rice to be cooked. If some rice still sticks, you may add soapy water and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes in the cooking pot before trying to do the washing up without scratching its bottom. The reason why I give four stars is because of the sticking issue, however it can be solved the way I explained above.

Very happy with this

Gosh I read so many reviews and settled on this one. We do brown rice usually. Stainless steel isn't going to clean like the coated stuff but I trust stainless. And if you coat it with a touch of oil at the start it cleans very well. But cleaning it was no problem. I plugged it in, put the amount of brown rice it called for and water and voila it cooked it, cut off, warmed and I didn't have to run unplug it so it wouldn't burn. It cooked great. I'm so happy. I failed at almost 80% of brown rice cooking before and now it's perfection. And I love the stainless. It's one of the reasons I chose this one.

Steel rice cooker

I would have given 5 star if it cooks 10cups as mentioned in description. Its enough only for 8 cups of uncooked rice. its all full and came out a bit too. good for up to 7 cups. The most liked part is steel container which can be washed in dishwasher.
