Good lighting Bad Bracket

This dual head LED smart light is very bright and the motion detection is on cue. My only complaint is the design of the bracket of the solar panel is really awkward and hard to install. I had to take 1 star off for the bracket design, it is a cheap metal bracket but most importantly, the angel is so awkward makes it so hard to install or affix to a flat surface like my wall or rooftop. I needed to improvise by adding a wooden block so it can be nailed/screwed to my wall. Other than that, the light itself is working flawlessly the past few days.

Less than 2 years old , but......

I gave 5 stars in all the important areas. Motion detection, brightness, etc. When it works, it's amazing. The overall 3 star is because, much like the earlier versions, it doesn't last long. I've been trying to avoid drilling into my siding to add a plug in flood light, and would also prefer to not add another night time power drawing item to my solar powered house, but it seems like I'll have to do that. These solar flood lights don't last long. Maybe it's because they're outside, but I have LED bulbs in my house that are much older than this light set up. It now does not keep a charge it seems. Used to work all through the night, especially in the summer. But this passed week I realized it's been cutting off completely before 10pm. We just had a breakin of our vehicles 2 nights ago, which we got this light to help prevent because that driveway is a legit dark zone. Our camera could barely pick up the assailants, so definitely no faces. eLEDing needs to do better about providing a product that can actually last. Ss much as I hate the extra work, I can purchase a plug in light and drill through my house for the same price as having to purchase one of these solar flood lights every 1 or 2 years.

Great light so far!

So far, so good 1 month in! The light works as promised! It was very easy to install, HOWEVER, you will need to sodder or drill holes in the plastic wall mount, and unfortunately the included solar panel bracket/brace is NOT strong enough for wind prone areas. Those of you who live in the northern part of the San Fernando Valley, north of Los Angeles know what I'm talking about when we get those Santa Ana wind events! Unfortunately, literally a day after I installed my light, we had a wind event and gusts of around 40+mph easily blew down the solar panel, so I had to reattach it to my flat roof. Fortunately the cable attachment was strong enough not to snap off! I went to Home Depot, purchased a bag of inexpensive 1 inch L shaped brackets, screwed them together to form Z-like brackets, and secured the solar panel flat against the roof by putting 2 of these brackets on each side, still leaving enough space to let the cable through. We've had several windy days since then and the solar panel has stayed firmly in place! I had to get a little creative here as Z mounting brackets for solar panels are expensive and were unavailable at the time. Also the screws provided, particularly the ones specifically for the solar panel bracket, are insufficiently long and strong enough! So you may need to dig through your assortment of screws. You may even brace the solar panel down with inexpensive galvanized tab tape. Just a thought! I'll do a follow up review in a few months.

Nice Light, lasted 2 years!

I liked the light and it worked well for two years then suddenly quit! Checked connections, no issues, just decided to stop! Would like to have gotten more time out of it, but maybe that is the way things are engineered today, to last only so long.

I really love it. My only problem was the bracket that ...

This solar powdered light is really something. It stays on all night long, even on cloudy days, is very bright when motion activated and was a breeze to set up. I really love it. My only problem was the bracket that came with the unit was not designed for a flat roof that I needed to use for my solar cell location. To maximize the angle of the sun I wanted to create an adjustable bracket so that in the winter, for instance, I could lower the angle to catch more sun and maximize battery life. Problem solved! Purchased a grill fish basket from a home & garden retailer for $10 bucks and bought a ¾ inch piece of scrap PVC from the same store. Used a heat gun to warm and flatten one end and wired the other end to the handle of the fish basket (see photos) Then I used gaffer’s tape to hold it all together :-) To find the correct angle for your location, use the internet to find solar noon for your city and then adjust the angle so that you cast the most even shadow. I used a tiny cup taped to a CD case and placed it on the solar cell and adjusted the angle to achieve an even shadow. Then I taped the basket down to my flat roof. Now all I have to do is adjust the vertical angle to match the time of year. I painted the PVC flat black and scratched different settings for each season. Piece of cake! Get this unit…you won’t be disappointed!

Great all night solar powered light

I bought two of these lights for front of my garage which faces south. One light worked exactly as advertised for moonlight all night mode, but second light was too bright and I couldn’t adjust lower. It would therefore not last the night. After notifying seller, a replacement was quickly provided and worked perfectly. Both last all night with winter temps averaging 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Customer service

Purchased three installed two for customers - those worked great! The third I left on the deck table. It never performed as the first two. Full bright until the battery exhausted itself (4:30 - 5 am, pretty good, btw), never the "moon light" mode. The company sent another battery pack (that wasn't the problem) . . . I suggested the motherboard and was told they never had an issue with those and that I had incorrectly put it together. and that was the end of our communcation.
