Mixed Review. I love the Pewter, hated the Ivory - the quality differs!

FIVE Star for the Pewter Curtains: I have bought 8 of these panels and am so happy with the result! I had been shopping for nice looking black-outs to cover all my upstairs windows from the Texas sun. I read review after review and finally came across these curtains. I bought the pewter since i wanted a nice dark color to help black-out the sun. I bought two panels to start with to check for quality - they were perfect! These curtains are beautiful! They are a nice weight, have a woven fabric that feels high in quality and have a nice heat shielded material on the backside. They also had a nice smell when i pulled them from their packaging, no chemical smell. These completely black out the sun. It also drastically reduces the heat the windows let in. I am so pleased with this purchase and highly recommend! ONE Star for the Ivory Curtains: I loved the Pewter curtains so much that i decided to buy the Ivory ones for the rest of my home. I ordered 10 panels. The first thing i noticed is that the packaging is not the same. These panels were in little clear bags, they weren't packaged for store sale like the pewter ones. The material seemed to be the same but the quality of the hems was horrible! As other reviewers have shown, the hems were so uneven - you couldn't look past it. One side would be 2-3 inches shorter than the other. After opening 4 panels in a row with the horrible hemming i decided to return. The ivory color was very strange as well. Against a white wall it looked like a very pale greenish tan. I am so disappointed.

Don't let the price fool you, these are high quality black out curtains that work in the hot sun!

This particular pewter curtain is my favorite of Eclipse Grommet black out curtains with the therma weave. Don't waste your money on the Eclipse curtains with the plastic type backing, those do not hold up in the hot Arizona Desert of the U.S.A. But these curtains with the special weave absolutely work beautifully here! I hang multiple panels on every window in my bedroom as my husband sleeps during our hot Arizona days and works at night. A must have for night workers here in Arizona! We still have to keep the A.C. pumping, but with these kind of curtains on nearly every window upstairs our summer electric bill did go down a little after we put them up. But keep in mind that during our summer we are surprised if the temperature falls below 100 degrees day or night, it mostly stays above 100! And these curtains really stand up to the sun!

A very nice looking option for our sliding glass door

I could not be happier with these drapes! Its always risk ordering a color on line, but this "tan" was exactly what I was looking for - its more on the taupe side of tan rather than a beige color. The fabric is so soft but thick, and the curtains hang beautifully. Our sliding glass door opens on to an upper deck that gets a LOT of sun exposure during the summer months - temps can get up to 100 out on the deck. Having these curtains keeps out the glaring sun and makes the living room area much cooler during the day. I liked these particular grommet style curtails because it is very easy to slide them all to one side to allow easy ingress/egress through the sliding door. I ordered the 95" length and 3 panels to cover our 67" wide sliding door. I would buy these again in a heart beat - no uneven hems or other issues. BUY THESE, you won't be disappointed.

Best curtains you'll ever buy

LOVE these. Keep in mind, there is ONLY ONE per package. But these are the best curtains you can buy. Get this...they actually block out light!!! If you're like me and you live in a condo or apartment where you don't want people peering into your slider or windows and being able to see stuff even when the "see through" curtains are closed, you don't have to worry with these. They block out all light and make it impossible for anyone to see through. Even when it's night out and your lights are on and it's dark out...still, not even a change anyone will see in. And then when you open them during the day, you are greeted with all the light you want. They are VERY high quality. I can't stress that more. You get these, they are heavy, durable, and extremely well made. I can't recommend these more. We went through three different curtain sets until we found these and we will never buy another set again.

these are great for the money

OK, these are great for the money. They do not block 100% of light as others have mentioned. I have a large room with windows on three sides, in the morning on the east side you can see some light through them when the sun dead on right in front of the window. I would say they block 90%, then once the sunrise passes them they appear to be 100% blocking during the rest of the day. The do not have a second layer of 'backer' material which most true 100% black outs have, and is why they do show some light. BUT, at the price of these for 8' tall panels is very very cheap and are actually constructed quite nicely.

Love these!

Love these! Using on my sliding door to the back yard. Late afternoon/evening the sun works it's way around to the back of the house and was so bright and so hot it was really annoying. Finally dawned on me to try some blackout curtains (I've lived here for like 8 years now, derp!) and WOW! What a difference. I used 2 panels and they work great, cover the sliding doors fully and make it dark and cool in here. They are also very easy to slide on the rod so that's a plus too. The color is an average tan color, darker than say ivory or off white but it blended well and is very neutral so would prob work anywhere.

These are beautiful quality for the price

These are beautiful quality for the price. Nice heavy duty curtains without feeling like winter. The color is true to the picture (dark grey.) The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they do not seem to hang perfectly even but mine are pulled back most of the time (they are on french doors) so I it doesn't really matter. Would recommend.

I am Satified for the material and look of these curtains.

They are beautiful and realy blackout. The only think is the width of these curtain , I put three in my big window and everytime I have to set them back when my son pull them one side. If the width is 57 inches I would need only two of them which will be easy to manage.

los paneles los estuve buscando en tiendas de tela de mi localidad y no encontraba verdaderos blackout asi que me di a la busqueda en amazon y estos me encantaron. Tuve que comprar 3 y cortar 1 para unirlo a los otros 2 dadas las medidas que traen por default, el procedimiento fue muy sencillo. El color como siempre tiene que ver con el monitor y que tan editada este la foto, en mi caso las noto un par de tonos mas claros que el de la imagen, sin embargo sigue siendo un gris bonito.

Excelente Blackout

Cumple 100% la función de oscurecer la recamara, notas importantes: Hay que comprar dos ( parece obvio pero quiero resaltarlo) Compra un cortinero especial para blackout, tienen un lado curvo para que recorras la cortina hacía la pared y no pase nada de luz. Planchalas con una plancha de vapor. Usa un velcro para que se queden cerradas.
