Great for kids rc truck

Works great for charging my son's lipo batteries for his rc truck. I'm only giving 4 stars because the instructions could be much better. They don't fully explain all the capabilities of the charger.

Great little charger

This is a very nice, cheap charger. I use it for LiPo batteries and is charges them quickly. Small so it work good in my car with a small inverter.

Very easy to use, works well

This is a dead simple charger to use. Attach the appropriate charge leads and balance leads, connect to battery. Select the appropriate battery type (Lipo, etc) and select the charge rate; press start. The single LED will change color based on the percentage of charge the battery is currently at. What I wish the charger had is a dedicated Lipo balanced storage-charge mode. What you can do to work around this lack of feature would be to run your battery down to a safe lower level, connect to the charger and charge until the indicator light turns yellow. This indicates 50% charge, and should be safe to store your lipo batteries at. It wouldn't hurt to check and confirm the overall and/or individual cell voltage of your lipo battery before putting it away though.

Works great

I had to rig up a connection for my JST connector out of my SCX24 because it didn't come with one that fit that small of a battery. Once I did it worked great. No issues. It will charge the 2s batteries the SCX24 comes within about 25min, which's faster than they discharge playing with the truck.

Revised Review

New update: I replaced unit, new one works great. Amazon quickly shipped. I want to own a mistake I was making and I believe that is why charges weren't working. I change this to a 4* review it works well, there are higher quality ones that friends have but I believe this is a great charger for the price. Old one probably works fine too but I was making a bonehead mistake on the adaptor connections.

Awesome little Charger

This is one awesome little charger. I was able to replace 2 of my older chargers that you could probably call antiques now. I do really like the banana plug that let's me have various connectors for my different batteries. Will charge my NiCd and NiMh as well as my LiPo. It does tell you what % of a charge you have by signaling with the led for that chemistry battery. The only thing it would do that I kind of wish it did is discharge a battery.

Inexpensive charger

Looking for a charger that is easy on the wallet or as a starter charger, this is a good choice. I use it to charge a few different types and sizes of batteries. One battery at a time.

Fast charge

Nothing to dislike but what I like being on a budget the price was right. And It charged 25 minits faster than the smart charger that came with my rc airplane, and easy to use also.

Great Hobby grade charger.

This is a must first upgrade for RC. Comes with an EC3 lead which is perfect for beginner type rc cars. Has balance plugs on the right side. I've seen the same exact model available at hobby shops for twice the price.
