So I have had a heck of time with these gorgeous boots. 1. You need to go on Durangos website for the ACCURATE SIZE CHART. 2. If you have a painfully high instep( the top of your foot) like I do, you are ABSOLUTELY going to have invest in instep stretchers, or have the instep professionally stretched. 3. Don’t listen to the reviews saying that they “run SUPER large and are too big so size down!” NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! They pretty much run true to size and even a bit smaller! You need to size up by either a half size or a full size depending on your feet. Especially like I said, if you have a high instep and you don’t have freakishly narrow feet. These people who say “ORDER ONE TO TWO SIZES DOWN!” Must have sticks for feet because, I am a normal 7-7.5, in almost all shoes, but when I first ordered them (I’ve had to order and return like 3 times now) I FOOLISHLY listened to the people saying “they run HUGE! Order a size or even two sizes down!” ????????♀️ And I checked the size chart which said that a size 7 was 24 inches so I was like yeah, I’ll order a 7 and if I need to I’ll send it back and get a size smaller; I was crying trying to get my foot into them, when they arrived, and a size 7 in these is actually a 23.5/23.7 inches, not 24, so this size chart is not accurate, USE THE ONE ON DURANGOS ACTUAL WEBSITE FOR CORRECT FIT! Anyways, I sent them back. Thinking to myself if the 7 was that tight and painful on my instep, then I must need something bigger (the actual shoe fit was fine, it was a smidge tight, because they were brand new leather boots, but it was obviously the instep for me that was too tight/low and didn’t fit, ) so I’ll have to totally skip getting a 7.5 and get an 8 to fit properly, even though I knew it would be a bit too big in the actual shoe part, well the 8 of course swallowed my foot lol because it was WAYYYY too big, but it still pinched my instep first putting them on (that’s how high my instep is and how low these boots are made but that’s to be expected) So I’m sending them back today and I’m buying a 7.5. If your foot is truly narrow/or you don’t have a high instep, then order your normal size, if you have a wide foot then you probably want to size up by one half size or even one whole size, if you have a wide foot, and depending on how wide/high your instep is, and you may still have to invest in boot stretching spray and boots stretchers/having them professionally stretched, because harness boots have a harness obviously lol and they fit tight/low at the instep/top of the foot and they are leather boots so when you first get them before you break them in, they are definitely tight, but they shouldn’t be painfully tight, that’s a sign you need to go up. But if you have a normal foot that is not wide but not narrow, with a very high instep (which btw I know people call the instep, the vamp, I obviously call it the instep lol, but it’s basically the top of your foot for anyone who doesn’t know) like myself, order your normal size and have them stretched or stretch the absolute heck out of them, or just order a half size up and then stretch them/have them stretched. Other than that I absolutely love these gorgeous boots.
