Alternative use in gardening

I use this product for screening drain holes in my plant pots. So not using it for drywall. But it works great for my houseplants and outdoor plant pots. I cut pieces and stick them over the drain holes in my pots (on the inside), then fill the pots with potting mix and the plants. Keeps most of the soil from leaking out as I water. The sticky side helps to keep the pieces in place. Highly recommend for this purpose.

Updating this. After I was able to screw/mount the drywall, this worked great!!

Works great, was able to replace a 6 foot hole with taping the old pieces and mudding over them. Highly recommend.

So much easier than paper tape

I was struggling using paper drywall tape and was having issues with bubbling. This tape made it much easier to get the job done. Super messy though.

Works great!!

Yes I would agree with some ppl saying it isn’t “sticky” enough to hold in place but really depending on what you do with it. I used this for re-enforcing my RC body with Shoe Go. As long as you take your time go easy you don’t even need to clue it in place.

Good tape

Builder used paper joint tape in some areas on the garage ceiling and it started peeling back due to age of my house and heat/humidity cycle through the years. I peeled off the old tape, cleaned the surface with a paper towel to rid dust, and attached the nylon mesh tape and spot DryDex (spackling) to see if it works in conjunction. It's gone through 10+ heat cycles where the ceiling reaches 100F and no cracking or peel back.

Easy to use!

Don't expect this to be the only step in making small repairs: you will need to buy another product to go with it. I bought this at the same time as some poly filla, and this worked really well with it. I had never attempted to cover cracks and holes before, but this was very easy to use: I layered the tape over the hole, which creates a mesh base to work on, then you go over it with poly filla. The wall looks great; you can't tell there was a hole there!

It works like a charm
