Very pleased!
While this is one of the more expensive birds feeders, it is worth every cent! We've had it during winter and spring, and the suction is strong even during the change of temperature. We've seen blue jays, cardinals, tufted titmice, sparrows, and more. We have is 3/4 of the way up on a sliding glass door. A squirrel tried to jump to it, but missed. We've had an awful time with deer (!) and squirrels with other feeders, so I'm thankful to have this one now.

Great little feeder
Have this on my window and get a colorful variety of birds, even larger birds like grosbeaks and cardinals. I did get it on sale but would have bought it anyway, it is on our dining room window, I can crank out a side window and easily refill the sunflower seeds.

excellent company and product!
I have had many bird feeders, but until this one they were all the type that you hang from a tree. I try to feed birds/squirrels near various windows as entertainment for my indoor cats. They love watching all the critters and "hunting" them through the windows and I enjoy watching them all. Here in TX the heat and sun wear out plastic feeders pretty quickly so I've never had one last a year without something breaking. This is my 2nd feeder from this company and though this one has yet to break, I am not worried because Droll Yankee's customer service is awesome. The Droll Yankee packaging claims a lifetime warranty, but I've seen that with other companies and found it was much more challenging to get the replacement than it was worth. I had an excellent experience getting a replacement part for my other Droll Yankee feeder so this company has won a customer for life with me! You can read about my experience in detail via my review of the other Droll Yankee feeder (though the W1 Winner is more expensive than this one) -Droll Yankees W1 Winner Window Feeder I was concerned that the suction cups wouldn't hold and I'd be picking the feeder up off the ground multiple times a day, but even with big squirrels leaping on it from the fence, it only falls once every 1-2 weeks, which is great. If you don't want squirrels to get to this feeder, simply make sure there's no fence or anything they can easily leap to the feeder from and be sure it's not close to the screen or they will climb the screen (I have to get a new screen because of this) and then climb to the feeder from the screen. It took a week or so for the birds to find the feeder, but once they did all was well. I have a cat tree right in front of that window so the cats can literally touch the window right where the feeder is. Some of the birds take off, but most of them just ignore the cats as they paw at the window, which is more fun for all of us. The cats enjoy those who fly away too though as I think it makes them feel like they successfully hunted a bird. :) My least favorite thing about this feeder is that you can NOT adjust the distance between the top cover and the bottom tray. I like to keep it big enough so the squirrels and bigger birds can get in. They are able to with this pre-set distance so I'm happy, but if you want to shrink that distance to only let smaller birds in you may want to check out the Droll Yankee W1 Winner Windows Feeder per the link earlier in this review as that one allows you to adjust this distance. The W1 is much more expensive than this feeder though so there is a trade off for the adjustment functionality. My most favorite thing about this is that the suction cups connect to the feeder so you place it all on the window together. That makes it easier to position since you don't have to manually judge the correct vertical/horizontal distance for the suction cups. Also, when the feeder does fall, the suction cups generally stay attached to the feeder so you don't have to hunt for a suction cup. I highly recommend this feeder and really, any feeder from this company!

great feeder
It is mounted on a picture window over the porch. The window is large enough that chipmunks etc. can't reach it and it is easy to fill. Most days the birds are lined up to get to it. Because of its design no part of the feeder is in the way of your view from inside. It does not need a hole in the back of it like so many of the others.

Great for window feeding of wild birds.
I've gone through several brands of these, and even those with a no questions asked repair policy do not work as well. Even the grackles, Blue Jay's, and the various woodpeckers can fit after trying a while. The only problem I have, which sometimes destroys a feeder, are determined squirrels, who repeatedly fling themselves at the window! They generally give up, and I try to provide them with food they can reach.

It's fine, though Aspects window feeder is better
I debated between this feeder and the Aspects Window Cafe feeder, and ended up buying both. Filled with black oil seed, both are constantly busy with chickadees and nuthatches (though I expect that next summer we'll get a wider variety of small birds at them). Both feeders also seem very secure -- to my surprise; I hadn't expected suction cups to do the job as well as these are doing. Both also offer a lifetime warranty. It's easy to see the birds at both feeders. However, the design of the Aspects feeder is far superior in a few ways: 1. The Aspects feeder holds more seed. 2. If the birds stay at the feeder and eat (as opposed to grabbing a seed to carry away and eat elsewhere or stash for the winter), this feeder ends up with a lot of seed hulls, so you're dumping out good seed along with the hulls when you go to fill it. The Aspects feeder ends up with far fewer hulls, and being a gravity feeder, you don't have the problem of having to dump out hulls in order to fill it. 3. The Aspects feeder is much, MUCH easier to fill. You don't need to remove the feeder from the suction cups, you just slide the feeder out from its roof (which remains on the suction cups), fill it, and slide it back in. If the Aspects feeder weren't available, these drawbacks of the Droll Yankees feeder certainly wouldn't be enough to keep me from using it. However, I'm sure glad I tried both, because the superiority of the Aspects one is considerable.

Works Too Good Honestly
I placed this on my bedroom window hoping my cat would enjoy bird watching. A family of cardinals has been coming to my window waking me up at 5am for months now and my cat LOVES watching them and chasing them away occasionally. I recommend putting this somewhere you don't mind noisy birds visiting, but probably second story so they're safe from predators. Two large cardinals use this at that same time daily and it hasn't fallen on them yet. It's a good deal.

Best window bird feeder available!
This is my second one of these feeders and they are fantastic. Unlike other window feeders I have had, the suction cups work very well and the frame is sturdy.
