Ideal Chair

Did not work as well as hoped after hip surgery

Bought to use after hip surgery did not work as well as I hope for me but I am keeping it to use for Grandchildren at dinner table and other uses as needed. It is a nice stool.

Great for elderly

This chair is great for an elderly person who needs a chair to at the sink and bathroom counter. It is sturdy enough so they can hold on to get up.

Perfect chair for tall older people having trouble getting out of chairs!

Since this chair is adjustable and I am taller than the average woman, it has been my favorite chair since I first put my butt into it. If it had a footstool, it would be perfect! Highly recommended for those of us who don't fit the average chair!

Great for tall people with mobility challenges

My husband is 6'3" and has advanced Parkinson's. He can stand with assistance but has severe balance issues. We have this chair adjusted to the tallest setting and it has been helpful in many ways. He places it in front of the bathroom sink and it allows him to sit and clean up without worry of falling backward, while still being high enough that he can lean over the sink. When I help him get dressed, he can sit in the chair while I help him dress and then easily use a grab bar to stand. The high, slanted seat makes it much easier for him to stand and much easier for me to help him. It has also made cutting his hair and shaving him easier for me. A word of caution - this chair is as sturdy as possible for a chair of this height, but if the person using it puts all their weight on one of the arms, it will tip to the side. I try to move it next to a grab bar and have him use the grab bar when sitting down or rising from the chair. And I would never let him use it without supervision. A fall from the height of this chair would be dangerous. It feels very sturdy to me, but my husband is average weight. I'm not sure how sturdy it would feel to a heavier person. I also thought it was fairly easy to assemble. It came with good instructions and they were also available online in the event that they were missing. I was able to assemble it quickly, by myself, with no problems. In navigating our world of increasing mobility issues, the right equipment can make all the difference. This chair is fairly priced and has been a very worthwhile investment.

This is a life saver for my Mom!!

My Mom needed something to help her in the kitchen when cooking larger meals. This was the perfect answer, she can sit and take a break as needed.

Not bad for the price but

So I bought this for my mom who has issues with standing too long while working in the kitchen. The price seemed reasonable, sturdy, and fair easy to adjust. Those were the positives, but here are some negatives: 1. It didn't come with instructions on how to assemble this. Now growing up with the internet, my first instincts were to look for the manufacturer website and look for the specific model and there should be some kind of assemble instructions, sure enough, I did some little digging and I found it, although it was bit of a hassle. Granted it wasn't difficult to assemble but I wish the instructions were included in the box and were written better, kind of felt like a poor man's version of an ikea instructions but worse visuals and hard to follow written instructions. If you have someone who may be older and isn't used to computers, and you gift them this, there is a possibility the assembling instructions may not come with the product so be prepared to walk them through or show them where to find the instructions or better yet, just assemble this for them. 2. padding - the padding of the chair may not be as comfortable for some, at least that is what my mom has stated so she added some additional padding.

Don't buy it unless your countertop has a large lip or overhang so there's room for your knees

Sturdily made, easy to assemble, and exactly as described, so perhaps it's unfair to complain. But: 1. It's ugly 2. There is no footrest 3. It is useless unless your countertop has a large lip so that there is room for your knees. Ours does not have such a lip, so there is no way to sit close enough to be able to work comfortably. Knees get squashed against the countertop or awkward;ly splayed to the sides. If your countertop does have space, it could be great.

Easy to assemble, comfortable to rest on.

Great stool that helps me rest while working in the kitchen. The seat is comfortable enough for short periods of time. Lightweight and easy to move. Putting it together required my friend's help as I needed their strength to fit the metal pieces into place. But it was quick with help. I have found angling the stool next to the countertop gets me close enough without having my knees hit the lower kitchen cabinets as I work. Would recommend to those needing a stool to rest on doing kitchen tasks.

Ouch

I was delighted when I saw this stool, Unfortunately, This is the most uncomfortable chair/stool I've ever sat in. The seat is far too short, and because it is slanted, the edge of the seat digs into the tops of your thighs.This is supposedly designed for people who are physically challenged but I would never recommend it for any one who has to sit in it. for for even a very short time.
