SEE WIRING NOTE!!!

Motor is working great, very good purchase. About a third of what the dealer wanted for the motor and I honestly think it's the same motor as what was on the boat originally. Not that hard to put on, although running the wires takes just a little effort, it's definitely doable. ATTN:. WIRING NOTE! Let me save you a ton of potential frustration and wasted time. This applies to only motors that have two wires, a green and a blue. Everything I read online and looked at on YouTube indicated that the motor either grounded through the mounting or a separate black wire as mine had going to one of the mounting bolts. This motor does not ground through the mounting nor does it ground through a separate wire if you have one. That wire that is on the bracket deals with galvanic corrosion. The way the motor is to be wired is blue to positive and green to negative for it to go up, and green to positive with blue to negative for it to go down. If you just wire into your outboard, it will take care of all that switching for you. The problem comes in when your OCD like me and want to test the motor before you go to the trouble to install it just to make sure it runs. So if you do test it straight to a battery, use the above information and I'll save you a ton of wasted time trying to ground the motor and thinking that you only use the blue OR the green at any given time. It takes BOTH of them to make the motor run, just switch them to reverse direction.

Not a direct replacement

This part was purchased to replace a burned out Evinrude E-Tec trim motor. The Evinrude parts manual identified the part as P/N 5005254. Your description for this TRM0075 says it is a direct replacement for the Evinrude part. This is not the case, the replacement motor is 1/4 in taller that the original part and the leads are 39 inches long where the original leads were 52 inches long. I had to splice in longer leads and modify the trim sensor arm for this part to work on my outboard.

Surprised

The pump seems to work really good. Only had it for a month but it works really good, For the price a good deal, wasn't sure but really didn't want to spend over $200 on a OMC pump. So far well worth the money for this motor

Great replacement at a third of the price

Amazing how easy it was to swap this out and at a third of the price of the local store and dealer wanted $400. Well worth buying on amazon and doing it myself.
