If you like spinning reels this will work for you

I have had beef with bait casters for 15 years but I think that because I always bought cheap reels. This is 100% worth the money, I spent 5 hours with this reel and only had 2 back lash issues that were entirely my fault. Paired this sucker with a St. Croix mojo bass glass MGC72MM and some 12lb mono and threw a half ounce lure like a dream. Highly recommend this reel to anyone who needs a good all rounder and I'm happy Daiwa offers it in a left hand configuration as someone who uses spinning gear predominantly that is a huge win. Tight lines and enjoy!

Works good upon initial use

Solid and affordable

I own a couple of tatulas, didn't want to break the bank on my frog rod so I went with this to try it out. It took a small amount of adjustment but this tell is great. The magnet brakes are not as good as the tatulas system but this is closer to $200 cheaper. Been using it all summer and I have had no issues. If I was to be critical the color scheme sucks

SMOOTH

Good reel. I like the fact that it is aluminum framed. I own a Fuego CT, and the build quality on the fuego is superior. With that being said, this is still a good reel, very smooth, holds drag well, and casts a mile.

Few $$ more get the Abu Garcia Revo

Honestly I got it because I thought Diaiwa were a great product I’ve got a couple of spinner reels but lately I’ve been fishing the Abu Garcia Revo Series ( $100 ) cast way smoother a lot quieter and easier to adjust drum. Spend the extra and avoid the frustration.

Fast & Furious

The Daiwa CA80 is a great reel at this price point. Loaded with braid on a heavy flip / punch rod, it makes quick retrieves out of gunk. Casts like a bullet too. You can't go wrong with this one.
