It's worth the money! These out cut grinding rocks and outlast any "sanding" discs I've ever used.
My first encounter with these was repairing a loading dock at work. At this location we used air grinders for most of our fit up work and didn't do the finish grinding or painting in this building. It was sent to our warehouse across town for all of that. Anyhow the loading dock had broken away from the mounting at the top and it was well away from any welder plugs. And almost as far from air. They rented a engine driven stick welder and brought me a dewalt corded grinder from the warehouse. I seen the used sanding pad on the grinder and asked helper to grab me a wheel since I clearly had more material to remove than any sanding disc was reasonably capable and I was already down on the floor. He fired up the gen and tossed me the extension cord. I though to myself don't just sit here and look at it. At least "look busy" I thought I'll knock the rust off the welds. HOLY CRAP these cut better than any rocks I've ever had. Needless to say when the supply rep came around I asked him to sneak me a pack from the other building and they were kept in my box under lock & key for those odd jobs that I do have that I have to put bevels on. Which isn't often but I did build some sort of wrench for/used on oil rigs that was 1" plate and I put 45 bevels on each side almost half through in no time. Seriously 2-3 times as fast as a grinding rock. As with most fibre discs do yourself a favor make a "keeper" out of a couple of plates at least 1/4 plate or heavier. Drill/tap or weld a piece of all thread rod and secure your discs in sandwich style to keep them from getting curled or wavy. All discs I've used do this if they absorb much moisture. I don't have to do much finishing work but what I do have to do I want smooth not a grinder bouncing around leaving a wavy finish.

I would recommend using these
Highly durable and long lasting, I would recommend using these. These are used for grinding smooth welded commercial frames and they get the job done.
