Very comfortable and as good as my old doc's brace.

I had a nice neoprene sleeve that my ortho gave me after surgery about 10 years ago. Since moving to Denver, I've been unable to find a similar brace - even from the highest priced doctors in this town. However, this brace does not have clunky heavy metal hinges or sweaty thick foam of the recent braces I've received from doctors. Each side has a flexible plastic stint for stability and the kneecap support is reinforced with a stitched U shaped woven poly pad. The sleeve itself is only about 1/4 inch thick and fairly breathable with no rolled edge to annoy you. I love the fact that it has a strap to secure it at the top and bottom of the sleeve. I am a tall woman with fairly slender legs (lower thigh has 14 inch circumfrence). The medium size fits me fine. Though the brace stretches, it's probably important to get the right size so it doesn't split on you!

I like material and fit of these braces

I like material and fit of these braces, only issue is trying to slide over foot to pull up on knee, when your knee does not bend well.

Much better than my 10 year old model!

I bought this to replace a 10 year model and this one is much lighter and more comfortable. At first, i thought because it was lighter, it might not give as much support, but it is working great. My old model did not have straps and I found these annoying at first. The straps work well, keep the brace secure and make it very easy to take the brace on and off.

Lasted 2 days before splitting

Low quality poorly made This brace lasted 2 days before the top of the kneecap hole started fraying. Then the rubber started to split and now the compression it provides is diminished Not recommended
