Sturdy and Easy to Clean

Wider than most Asparagus Steamer Pots and easier to get them out the pot then my previous Steamer.

Great for cooking spaghetti. water heats up quickly, pasta cooks fast. It's hard to find a tall pan for cooking pasta that isn't super oversized. This is just perfect for us. Also, nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan as the pasta is not in contact with the bottom.

Great cooker for small batches

I don't write a lot of positive reviews because it seems prices go up if I want to reorder something I reviewed positively. But this cooker has been so helpful, I want to share my experience. I ordered this for cooking pasta - mostly spaghetti. I was worried that the mesh size would be a problem but the spaghetti stayed in the basket. It would also work great with elbow macaroni, ditalini, and rotini - the three pastas we use most behind spaghetti. Most spaghetti cookers are from 7 to 12 quarts. The only 7 quart I find is All-Clad and quite expensive. After a long wait for a pasta cooker that works for dinner for two, I tried this and I am glad I did.

Asparagus Lover

I have been looking for this products for years in our local stores. The first time I seen a product like this was in the Gurney's Seed catalogue. But unfortunately it was too high for me to buy. An I was tickle I saw I could buy it at Amazon. The price was still high but not as high as some others. It is a cute little pot and the one I purchase has a basket that is a wire mesh insert. That way the water can boil all the Asparagus stalks. Would by from this buyer again. Love my Asparagus cooker, would recommend and I love this little product. Thank you so much.

Why did I not know about these before?

I've lived 6 years in a rental with a stove that has one big burner and 3 small. Such a hassle to cook multiple things at once. I would have to cook the meat and sauce on the big burner and then do the noodles after on the same burner. I finally heard about these 4th burner pots (thanks TikTok!) and thought I needed one. It's a revelation to cook everything at the same time! I can do a whole box of pasta in this burner! The only problem is that it takes a while for the pot to get to boiling (of course, that's an issue with the tall narrow shape) but I can't hold science against this pot. I would definitely recommend this if you have a janky stove like mine!

The best pot I've never cooked asparagus in

I LOVE this pot and one day I will try cooking asparagus in it! But in the meantime... 1.) I love using the pot for pureeing anything using my immersion blender. NO splashing of ingredients around the kitchen because the pot is so deep. 2.) I love putting strained, homemade chicken or beef stock in the pot to cool off overnight in the fridge. With the small diameter of this pot, removing the solidified fat from the top of the broth is easy. And 3.) It holds a LOT of soup or whatever and yet takes up less space in my fridge because it's a tall rather than wide container. EVERYONE is getting one of these things for Christmas!!!!

Not tall enough

This 4-qt. pot can be used for lots of things, but it isn't great as an asparagus cooker, which is what I wanted. My old asparagus cooker, which I loved, wouldn't work on my new induction cook top. The old one was smaller in diameter, taller so that the asparagus could stand up straight, and had a hook on the side to rest on the rim of the pot to drain. I haven't been able to find a replacement that is compatible with induction cooking. I'm using this for steaming other types of veggies and pasta--it works for that.

Extremely versatile

I bought this pot because I steam a lot of vegetables. However, after owning it for ten days, I have used it almost every day for many other things. I have steamed asparagus, corn, broccoli, cauliflower and baby new potatoes. I have also used it for a shrimp boil, pasta and soft boiled eggs. Loved how I could put all of the shrimp in the basket and put them in the seasoned water all at once and take them out all at once to dump in the ice bath. Works well on my new induction cook top and it cleans up nicely. I see my kids all getting one from Santa this year.

Just as advertised.

Arrived very, very well packaged with no Styrofoam at all, which is a win in my book. The pot is exactly as described, small enough to handle easily and more than large enough to cook asparagus for about 12 people. Will also be great for other uses. I am very pleased.
