Bought as gift

Gifted to my father-in-law who is a bug outdoorsman. He loves this lantern. Seemed really well made when I looked at it.

Easy to light but it states it is x amount of lumens, but it is not as bright as my old white gas coleman lantern, but it is 1/3 the cost and easier to light, which is a benefit in the deer blind when cold and windy

Works as advertised, its a Coleman after all.

I love that it ships with mantles already installed. I did the burn in then lit it up and let there be light! Ready for power outages and off road camping now. The burner control is incremented, which is ok, but I've never seen that before. I have a duel fuel lantern that doesn't have that feature. The only knock I can give it is that the base won't grip a Coleman 1lb LP bottle so its a two handed job to move it, which I think has always been, but Coleman could easily address. Putting a couple layers of masking tape inside the base should fix that.

Quick and easy

After 30+ years, my Coleman 288 fuel lantern quit working. I decided to get this for ease of use and maybe not having to deal with the wet fuel being left in the lantern. I took it camping the weekend after receiving it and I was happy to find it is literally a plug and play set up. The case is a good design to protect the globe. It's easy to screw the lantern onto a fuel canister, push the lighter and you're making light. This is a bright lantern. May not put out what my old 288 did but it's plenty bright enough for a large campsite (or cookout). Would absolutely recommend

Good light

Works well as a lantern. First mantles that came with it didn't fully burn. Wasn't able to get it to light. I replaced them and the new mantles fully burned to ash as they are supposed to do. It wouldn't light with the igniter. It lit quickly with a match.

No es el producto anunciado

No es el modelo que indican, ni en el titulo ni en las fotos. El modelo que indican es con cubierta (Quickpack) sin embargo el que mandan es el modelo basico que ni siquiera tiene el boton rojo de encendido electronico. Me la voy a quedar porque la necesito, pero pésimo servicio.

Diferente modelo

El modelo que anuncian es muy diferente al que venden. En las fotos la perilla es con encendido electrónico y estuche para el vidrio y me llego el modelo más austero y sencillo , fotos engañosas!

What you need when you don’t have any light

Easy assembly, easy to light, and lightweight. Just light it and hang it up . It gives lots of light and even a little heat to boot. Very good purchase.

It’s HUGE

It is huge and the tank it needs to be used is also very large. It must not be used for backpacking. If you are looking for a compact gear, please avoid this and go for something elses
