Doesn’t Burn Evenly

I really liked the wooden wick on these candles, but for some reason my candle didn’t burn evenly. It left tons of wax on the sides and definitely didn’t last as long as advertised.

I Hope Size Doesn’t Matter

It’s much smaller than my previous one. But then I saw the smaller Coleman one promises 25 hours of burn time. My other larger one promised 20 and I got about that. Still a little to go. I’m about 3 hours into the new Coleman candle. So we will see!

Small but worked

I thought it would be bigger than it was, it fits in your hand. Worked well and lasted our 3 day camping trip. We had it lit most of the nights and on the last day I had to poor some of the wax out for the wick, overall happy.

Looks cool

We got the campfire scented one and I can’t speak to the other scents, but it smells terrible. We couldn’t stand it after just a few minutes. It was like a burnt cinnamon smell that gets stuck in your nose. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t recommend that scent. Maybe the others are better. I don’t even know how well it keeps the bugs away, we put it out.

Must have for the balcony. Got tired of bugs. Flies fly around it, but I haven't been bitten since lighting this.

convenience

I really like the convenience of the smaller tabletop size. This last one I purchased was missing a lid. I did keep the prior tin so i will apply the top to this new one.

Cannot be used in Provincial Parks

I bought these for camping at Bon Echo. Luckily someone told me I can't use them, as I'll be asked to put it out, and they'll take it away for disposal. It's considered a fire hazard. The scent is quite powerful, and the tin keeps the candle safe inside. Even when the delivery drivers throws it 8' across the yard to land with a thud on your cement steps. Dented, but not broken!

It's nice, but small. And it doesn't "crackle"

I like that the wick is wide so it has a good flame, but the candle is quite small. Maybe 3" square. While it is called a "crackle wick", it does not crackle. Or if it does, you can't hear it. However, it does smell good. The wick is made of wood. When putting the fire out, it becomes extremely fragile. A small touch can snap it when trying to re-light it. I've seen larger "candles in a bucket" for the same price. I bought to try it, but I don't think I'll buy again. Oh and for those who think this is a mosquito repellent, it is not. In fact, any candles don't work even those advertised as mosquito repellents. Don't fall for that.

El aroma es bueno, pero no sirve para los mosquitos

El producto tiene un aroma muy bueno, aunque algo fuerte, incluso sin prenderla huele, lo que si es que la función de ahuyentar a los mosquitos no me parece que funcione muy bien, porqué si se acercan y si te pican. Cómo recomendación cuándo está prendida se deshace por completo, se vuelve líquida y si la mueves además de que se apaga el pabilo de madera queda enterrado entre la cera una vez que se enfría o sea no la muevas ó hazlo muy despacio. Tengan cuidado con niños también ya que el pabilo al ser de madera la flama es más fuerte y larga y al encenderla la flama queda por encima del contenedor pueden quemarse.

Teeny tiny Coleman Citronella Candle 6 oz (170 g)

We had difficulty locating bug-free (citronella) candles in our local stores for an upcoming camping trip and turned to ordering online. Trusting the Coleman brand we purchased x2 of these candles. They arrived the following day in good condition. Quality tins with lids and labels. Even though it was made clear upfront about their size (6 oz / 170 g), considering the price, seeing them in person drove home how little they are! Scent is very soft and less like citrus and more like medicine. Perhaps these candles are small but mighty so we're looking forward to giving them a try. **Posted two photos of candles alongside ruler and marker for scale.

Smaller than expected

The size of this, although the volume is stated, was much smaller than expected especially given the price. That aside, it burns fairly quick also so in this case the amount of candle makes a difference. We found the price of this in store to be a bit more than here, but when on sale it's less so you might want to wait for a sale. As far as effectiveness, we didn't find it any better than those no name brands buckets that seems to do the same thing but for the same price you get much more volume. So the fact it's small, didn't seem any more effective than other comparables, and could be higher in cost makes this a so so product at best for us.
