Really well designed
Assembling furniture that's shipped "KD" (knocked down) can be a challenge. Not here. Somebody put a lot of thought into planning the furniture, how it goes together, and how to package it. Well done! Be aware this will arrive in a HEAVY carton. It's marked for two-person lift, and that's probably right. The carton is roughly two feet by four feet. Carefully cut the outside packing tape, but DO NOT CUT the bow itself. Lay it flat on the floor or a table and flip the top open. You will see a piece of white Styrofoam as the top padding. KEEP IT as the base on which to assemble your chairs (as suggested in the very clear instructions. I include it here in case you don't believe in reading instructions beforehand!) No searching for the assembly hardware - it's right there in two plastic bags hooked to a red label. Each bag contains an Allen wrench and seven long wood screws. You need only six per chair. They sent extras - which I wish all their kith and kin did. The chair goes together quickly. The mortise and tenon connections are cut in such a way that they will fit together only the right way. The wood finish is smooth, but not highly polished. This is outdoor furniture (I'm using it indoors, and it's fine, but it's clearly not Chippendale, but it does have elements of that style. The only time I ran into difficulty was with the seat cushion, which itself was just fine. It is provided with four Velcro straps that are supposed to slip through the seat slats and connect below the seat. Some do, but some have been assembled in such a way that they are thicker than they should be. You can push the properly-done ones right through, but some will prove difficult. Fortunately I had a hemostat handy and could clamp onto a corner and pull them through. After that, smooth sailing. I'm impressed by these chairs but don't know how reliable they will be. I think just fine.

We love these chairs!
We are using these chairs on our covered patio and we LOVE THEM. They are very sturdy and the seat is deep enough for my 6’2” tall husband to sit comfortably. In fact, we like them so much that we are going to buy a couple more sets for our other outdoor areas. Assembly was easy enough. I did it myself. Initially, one of the chairs seemed a little wobbly, but that’s only because I didn’t follow the directions. When you first put the screws into place, you’re not supposed to tighten them all the way down. You leave them just a little bit loose and sit in the chair so it can “adjust.” Then you tighten them down. Just pointing this out for anyone who may have a similar issue.

Great for children or little people
This dining chair is made for people who’re under 5’8” at most. It’s also not very wide. It’s size is reminiscent of an economy class chair on an airplane. The pad doesn’t really provide cushion and the arms are very low preventing a tall person from resting their arms on them. The seat back hits about 1/3 to 1/2 up your back causing an unpleasant feeling. The construction of the chair is good and the assembly was easy. I would recommend this for children or very small adults.

Very Poor Quality
Buyer beware. Product made in Vietnam. Parts out of the box are scuffed and chipped (see photo). VERY poor quality "teak finish." Once assembled, chairs look like they have been out in the elements for at least a year. Not sure if scuffing is related to bad "teak finish" or transportation. Don't know who "Christopher Knight" is but, if I were he, I would not put my name on this product. So, Quality is a 1 star. On the other hand, assembly very easy, 5 star. Debating whether to send these back as, even though there are much more expensive, real teak chairs out there, I am not sure these chairs are worth $100 each (more like $20. Very dissatisfied Amazon buyer.

There was a broken piece needing repair
The box arrived and you can tell it was returned by someone else because of the extra tape and tears in the cardboard. A piece under the seat was broken which I repaired with glue & adding a screw

Well made easy to assemble chair
This was a well made chair and easy to assemble (I ordered 6). Sanding and finish were smooth.
