Inferior metal compared to better brands.

This is a decent drill tap for perhaps aluminum, brass or plastic but simply didn't last very long in mild (1018) steel. Even with cutting oil, I could only get through about 50 holes of 3/8" plate before it failed.

It works.

For the cost this drill bit/tapd ne great. I drilled out 10 lug nut holes and may do another 10 worked great.

Broke 1st time using

On a pre drilled hole #7 drill bit. That was already tapped with a dewalt tap. I was verifying all holes drilled and tapped clean it broke. 1st use. This was supposed to be a good product. It failed.

Broke on first use in aluminum extrusion. Ruined the part. Furious. DO NOT BUY THIS ABSOLUTE JUNK. Cannot give zero stars of would have.

Majority delivered broken

Ordered 15 of them, they all came in either groups of 2 or alone and so far I have received 8 of them and 3 were completely broken.

Broke on first use

Broke on the very first hole I drilled, did a 1/8 pilot hole, cut trough an angled iron mild steel and a 3/4 plywood sheet to install M12 treaded swivel wheels on a work bench, I ordered a replacement, I used a drill at the slow speed and took my time, it must have been a metal failure of the bit, it broke like glass
