Classic has better design than Signature

I have used, and worn out, several of this model pan and the comparable higher-end Signature version. They work very well. The Classic is better balanced than the Signature. In part that is due to weight, with the Classic being 1.07 kg and the Signature being 1.56 kg. The extra half kilo (over a pound) is a lot. The Classic also has a better handle, since it is a 28 mm wide oval to control twisting, whereas the Signature handle has a nearly square profile, only 22 mm wide. The pan twist easily in my hand when emptying the contents out the side. The tradeoff is a thinner metal and non-stick coating. I have not had trouble with uneven heating in the thinner one. We'll see how the new non-stick coating in the current (2023) iteration works. The previous ones are effective and scratch tolerant. But they eventually wear out in daily use.

Excellent pan, don't buy the set

The 10" pan is all you want from a nice, nice-stick pan. Thick walled, even heating, fast heating, durable. The handle remains cool, and despite the thickness of the walls it's not heavy. So all in all, and excellent pan. However, don't buy the set. While the 10" pan is pretty much perfect, the 8" pan's handle is about 2" too short. At first I couldn't figure out why they'd do this, then I realized that if the handle was the appropriate length, the pan would fall over. The handle is so short it's almost unusable, as it gets too hot that close to the pan. And I don't have very large hands. This would be a 5-star product if not for the handle length of the 8" pan.

Excellent Non Stick Calphalon Pans

We are very satisfied with the 2-piece non-stick Calphalon fry pans we recently purchased. The surface is smooth, just remember to use the proper non-stick utensils with any pan of this type! they're very easy to clean. This is the 2nd set we've had, can't remember how long the 1st set lasted, but definitely got our money's worth!

Good pans!

These pans are good - but they fall short of "great". They are definitely not non-stick. When I make scrambled eggs, the pan is an absolute mess (and I think I lose about an entire egg being stuck on the pan). Getting it off isn't hard.. I soak it for a bit and then use a soft brush which takes it right off. Overall, worth it given these are healthier than other pans - but if you're looking for a superior non-stick, this is probably not the pan for you.

Best pans for the money

I’ve used these pans for over a decade. These ones are replacing two well used ones. ????
