Bought for a trip where water would be dubious

I bought this on a recent work trip to India on a recommendation from a coworker who suggested the water might be dubious. After putting the filter in the straw (unsure about replacement schedule) I took a few sips and noticed a bit of black specs (filter material) coming through. I think you're supposed to was the filter before actually drinking from it. For my trip, I used mostly water from good sources but at no point was I sick, so maybe it worked? I can't say for certain but it does give peace of mind in the water I drink every day when I fill from taps or public water fountains.

Amazing customer service with quality products!!!

The teal color is accurate, the water bottle works amazing, it’s great quality but mine came missing a filter. I called customer service and they were so kind, patient, and helpful. Never been anywhere else with such good customer service. Would highly recommend.

Love it! Only hate the silicone straw

I love my bottle! I had difficulty drinking water, but now I find myself drinking water so much easier. I fill it up twice a day to get a gallon in. The only thing I hate hard I have to (for a lack a a better words) suck the straw to get water. I understand it’s going through the filter, but it’s difficult to get through opposed to a regular straw. I also hate the build up that occurs in the silicone straw, but you just have to make sure to wash it every other day and something that does down into the straw the clean it.

Works great for my high schooler

My daughter was taking a couple water bottles to school everyday (water fountain water tastes and smells awful) and many days 2 bottles just weren't enough. So I ordered this bottle for her and she absolutely loves it! Has no problem getting her daily water intake and she can refill it at school without worrying about the awful taste. Because she uses it regularly I wash it daily (easy to clean) and replaced the filter after 2 months. She's only had it since it December so we haven't experienced the blackened straw or mold growth issues but for the affordable cost I would be fine buying a new bottle once a year if those things became issues. I'm very happy with it and filters aren't outrageously priced so that helps too. And of course I feel better knowing she's drinking plenty of water everyday ????

Drink more water

I got this specifically for traveling. At home we are on our own well water with a water softener and we love our water, but when we travel...gross water full of chlorine or you have to buy expensive bottled water everywhere you go. This bottle worked great and it's so easy to use. I took it empty to the airport and then filled it after going to security at the water fountain. It also works great for times you stay in a hotel. You can always have clean fresh water to drink.

Amazing Water bottle!

I work as a teacher and unfortunately I don’t trust the water fountains 100% due to us being located in the downtown area and this is so great! I get my water intake a lot easier with this and got to decorate it with some cute stickers. 100% recommend to those who are debating!

3 BOTTLES 5 MONTHS, NO FLAWS!

These bottles are fantastic. My husband (41), my son (26), and I (yeah, like you get to have my age) each got one a different color. I purchased these for 3 reasons. #1. We moved to Colorado and we love it here but with the housing more expensive we went from almost 3000 ft to less than 2000 ft, so no extra fridge in the play room. #2. Plastic Bottles seem like such a horrible strain on our environment (should be #1 actually) #3. We don’t have that extra expense every month, of 5 cases of water or 3-5 gallon bottles in the dispenser. 3 wins! Now, for the good stuff: This bottle has a very nice snap lid. It’s reliable, easy to close, it has a nice little carrying handle at the top that is sturdy enough to put on a carabiner (my son uses it on the way work like that, strapped to his backpack). The rubber handle matches the bottle color also, so if you have several laying out drying on the cabinet, everyone knows whose filter /drinking top is whose.. With the lid closed, I have never had a leak, but beware, if you are sitting in your favorite recliner with it open, and if falls over, it will run out. (That’ll wake you up) I’m allergic to latex and have had no lip swelling or adverse effects so I’m pretty darn sure there is no latex in the mouthpiece. This mouthpiece conforms to your mouth and is very comfortable while drinking. Large quantity of water each fill up. I used to be a Paramedic and would have paid $100.00 for this “Miracle” in my helicopter . When in Texas on a call on a Major Vehicle accident you might be on a 120 degree freeway back and forth from the hospital for hours. Sometimes there is no time to get refreshments or hydration. This big bottle on a belt carabiner would have been a lifesaver. Anyone who is an athlete or in a profession of needing constant hydration is in need of this bottle. I said I would have paid $100.00? This bottle is less than $20.00 and made by Brita! I’ve always thought Brita was the most trusted in water filtration. Someone who flys often can empty the bottle before then fill again after the TSA check through, even in a water fountain the water will taste just as beautiful as that bottle of water that is $6.00 “on the other side” of TSA. You need your hydration on a plane, as it is very dry air you are breathing. With this bottle you will have plenty (if you are not consuming alcohol) for a coast to coast trip. 3-4 trips and it’s paid for in bottled water purchases! Brita provides filters to buy at a very reasonable price on Amazon. I’m a stickler for buying the brand that goes with the brand. That’s just me. But... there are other brands out there you can buy that are clearly marked they are approved and fit this bottle. Brita and the others have multi-packs for discounts. The more you buy, the less it is per filter. GET THIS...the filters are said to last around 2 months. Mine was great for almost 3! I replaced mine at 10-1/2 weeks and there was no difference in taste or performance so I’m guessing my old filer was still functioning well. Well peeps, that’s my review. If you have any questions for me, I’m not sure if you can ask, but I’ll be happy to answer if This forum allows. We have 3 bottles and have had them around 5 months and no flaws on any of them!

So reliable

My apt bldg is more than 25 years old so who knows what the water pipes are like. Past experience with Brita makes me feel safer about the water I'm drinking. And this bottle fits nicely in my car cup holder.

Nice looking - not very user friendly

Firstly don't buy this if you live in the UK - you need to buy filters from US which are pricey. Its really really hard to drink from with the filter in it - like stupidly hard. It's also really fiddly to clean the drinking part as there are alot of grooves around the screw in part. You cannot take the mouth part out to give a good clean. It looks lovely and hold alot but that's it. :(

The product is discontinued, therefore you cannot find replacement filters. On the description it does not state that you are buying a discontinued product!!!

Everyone should have one of these.

I started a diet that required me to drink 3L of filtered water everyday. This Brita saved my life. Most water taste the exact same except for some water I got from Pickering, On had a different taste in the bottle. You really notice how many plastic bottles your not lugging around. I went from 6 water bottles a day (42 a week) to just 1! LOVE IT

I receive a bottle without a Filter

I was expecting this bottle for a while as is not available in the UK, unfortunately on reception the filter... the most important part was not in... reported to amazon and they just wanted me to return it and order again ... sadly I really wanted the product so I had to get the filters myself and spend 17GBP on extra. Until now no follow-up on the issue more than return it and order again which will take another 2 weeks... a great product but to expensive at this point.
