Excellent repair manual

Manual had the info needed for adjusting and determining which was the input and which was the exhaust valves along with the gap for the valves.

Disappointed

Doesn’t tell you how to tear down or assemble the engines. Only gives very basic information that you can find in the owner’s manual. It’s a good book but not exactly like the description says

It'll get you banging knuckles.

But I'm not sure I can give this 5 stars because it's really not that detailed nor step by step compared to an iFixit walkthru for example. A lot of different engine configurations are covered. So you'll often spend a lot of time trying to determine which tiny portion of a chapter applies to your model or whether they expect you to wing it looking at something similar. It's all black and white pictures too, but it's certainly useful for torque specs and issues with governors on an Intek engine. I found the FAQs on the B&S website sometimes better.

Handy

Good to have to view torque sequence, gap settings. Book generally set up according to serial numbers.

Manual is good, but still has limited details.

I used the manual for diagnosis of my 17.5 HP engine along with the rebuild of the Nikki carb. A lot of instructions were very good, but I still had to figure out some things. I did end up using some YouTube videos.

This manual has it all

This manual tells me how to make any repairs I need, on the engine only. Do not buy if you are looking for machine repair. This is a great manual, This is the best price that I could find and it solved my problems with all of my small engines.
