We did need to get a replacement, but that's okay.

So it's a small deep fryer, enough to make fries or tots for 2-4 people on average. It's not meant for too much at once and we have had to fiddle with the temperatures to get to our own likings for crispness. But we're just picky on that. So the first one we had did work great for a few months and then it didn't seem to keep the frying right no matter how long we went for and the oil didn't seem to be heating as it should, so we got the replacement as per policy on return/replacement with Amazon. And it was a manufacturer defect in what we believed was the electrical connector, so it was hazardous to use. Our current little appliance is still working great and heating oil as it should. There's been no issues with the product itself, just is small and for us that is what we required. If you're looking to feed more than 2 - 4 people in one sitting or on average, then you might need something larger. It comes with the little basket and considering I'd used to have to pull them out with tongs in an older model, that is extremely useful and efficient. There's no real criticism to give as it's exactly what we asked for and expected in the product.

Use the lid!

I have this deep fryer, and it was driving me crazy with the temperature- it kept turning off when it was no way near hot enough. I was even checking with a thermometer (so lid was off). I decided to try one more time, and I don't know WHY, but I used the lid. I had never deep fried with a lid- my old deep fryer only used the lid for storage when oil was in it. With this one, you need to use the lid so the oil comes to the correct temperature, and then while cooking. It worked perfectly with the lid. I don't know if I like the idea of always having to use the lid from a safety standpoint (a lot of steam comes out and it is hard to open without being burned- I used an oven mitt to remove the lid)- but with the lid it worked great.

Love this simple little deep fryer

Just what I wanted: A deep fryer with simple, non-electronic controls, reliable thermostat and high level of customer satisfaction. The small footprint is a plus, as is the low price. For reference, the frying basket is 5.5 inches across the top, 3 inches deep and 5 inches across at the bottom. Markings inside show the minimum and maximum amounts of oil. In response to toddlers getting severely burned by pulling on power cords and overturning pots of hot oil, UL now requires appliances like deep fryers to have magnetic break-away power cords. Works fine, in my opinion. Safety is also the reason for the short cord, which is a plus for me as I use mine near an outlet. As another reviewer mentioned, temperatures are given in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit. It was simple to look up four conversion numbers and write them down. The front of the unit has little drawings of food next to the temperature markings, along with suggested number of minutes for each. The handle was a little tricky for me to attach, even though it’s a straightforward design. Once attached, it’s perfect. Love this unit and use it often.

Cute, space saver fryer. But...

This fryer is truly small and small in capacity. But the real issue I have is that it tends to bubble the oil - see pic. I used coconut oil and canola oil. Also, since the capacity is small, it can only handle small portions otherwise it’ll boil over so you have to watch it like a baby. The pic shows two regular size egg rolls which can handle ok. If you add more, it will boil and bubble over as pictured. So I’m rating this a mediocre at best.

Let’s eat.

This is a awesome fryer. The 1000w heats the oil fast and cooks French fries perfectly. At 190C it makes the fries crispy on the outside and soft inside. Perfect size for 1-2 people. Has a vented lid and the basket is a quality product. I also like the fact that oil does not splatter out of the fryer. The cooking vessel does not remove, but if I’m not going to use it for a few days, I just pour the oil in a RSVP SS Fryers Friend container. Put oil in refrigerator and use a paper towel to wipe out the fryer. Simple as that. I am very pleased with this unit. Oh yeah, temperature is in Celsius not Fahrenheit. No big deal to me, just thought I’d mention it.

Didn’t like I said this already too small. Lied false photo looked bigger you barely can put 3chicken in and chicken better be small wings sue to grease added probably 2 chicken wings due to greased this made me so sad I knew was small but I though least can get 8 wings to 6 small wings due to photo the photo they display. Not the real size coat too dam much for that size worth$20.00 with fee shipping most $5 shipping ????????

Bonjour j.ai achete ce produit car il fait une portion de frites. je suis satisfaite a date du produit mais je dois dire que le bouton de controle au debut etait comme bloquer au milieu a fallu aller un peu brusque avec le bouton mais apres probleme resolu. les frites sont tres belles et pour moi 12 mn me convient mieux que 10mn indiquees. Hi, I bought this product because it make 1 portion of fries. At de beginning the control button was stuck in the middle and we have to be a little ruff with it after that the control was ok. the fries are very gold and crispy at 12mn inteed of 10mn like indicated

Perfect Portions for 1-2 People

Strain the fluid after every use and you should have no problem keeping you out for a while

My wife and I wanted this to make fries once in a while and it is served it’s purpose very well that heats up very quickly in the browser done a few minutes

Works great! I didnt want a large deep fryer so this one is perfect. Small portions for the occasional dish. No issues works great! Only takes a liter of oil
