An excellent upgrade!

I bought a Braun Series 7 in 2015 and used it pretty regularly up until a few days ago. The locking hinge broke years ago which didn't really bother me, but the pop out trimmer broke and that was what prompted me to get a new shaver. All the things I think I disliked about the Series 7 have been completely solved with the Series 8. I love the fact that the cleaning station now has an active fan element to help dry out the shaver head after the cleaning cycle. The shaver itself has a wider head and gives a much closer shave than my previous one, even with a replacement head. It's so simple and easy to use, I'm glad I decided to get another Braun. Really great quality for an awesome price. I hope to get another 8 years of service out of this shaver!

Amazing Shave, MUCH better than less expensive Braun shavers!

I had one of the less expensive Braun savers years ago. This new shaver is a huge improvement. Shaves as close as a blade, it is amazing! I also love that it is self cleaning and lubricating. A problem I had with previous shavers I would have to cut longer hairs with the trimmer then go back over the area with the shaver. This shaver I don't have to do that at all! This rasor let's me shave without having to "pre cut" with trimmer, game changer. If this rasor broke tomorrow, I would reorder it tomorrow night!

Extremely close to a razor shave

For me the only way to get a better shave would be with a four blade razor. This shaver saves time and less hassle than traditional methods. The head cleaning base does a excellent job. I would recommend this electric razor and cleaning base.

Good design and a value!

I've tried transitioning from blade shaving to electric for several years. That includes at least five major brands, including other models of Braun. I always ended up back to the razor after 4 to 6 weeks of use. I've now used the Braun Series 8 daily for the last three months and it has served me well, in terms of closeness and comfort. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Close Shave

My husband really likes and recommends this shaver. He likes the close shave he receives with this shaver. It has all the features he was wanting and he has used it for several months now is very satisfied.

Pricey

Shaves as good as my S3 version which I used for 7 years. The charger and cleaning system are nice and seem to work just fine. There were zero written instructions, just diagrams. Had to go online to find a printed version. The shaver strikes me as way overpriced for the benefits given.

I can’t handle this beast

Pros: -never needs charging. Maybe charge it when you first get it. Appears to run on fusion power or some power source of alien origin. At any rate I never remember to charge it and it never runs out of “battery”. -works as an alarm clock for the house. I’m the first one up and getting ready, and the noise this thing makes wakes everyone up. -increases my degree of alertness in the morning. The noise as mentioned before, but also the hair pulling. This thing shaves the areas that need shaving, sure, but as an added bonus, as the razor comes within 2 inches of the portion of my facial hair I wish to keep, little razor gremlins reach out and begin yanking out beard hairs. They do this every time I use the device, and this serves to fully wake me up. Cons: -I’m not sure I’m enough of a man to handle this device. It’s a bit intimidating to a weakling such as myself.

Husband loves it

Husband did not like when the series 7 made the beard trimmer a separate part. This razor has an integrated beard trimmer. Also, the razor works great to shave his head daily. Highly recommend
