Great for Porter Cable c2002 type 8

I used then to replace the annoying standard drain valve for my Porter Cable c2002 type 8, and it works perfect. For anyone who says this doesn't work for their Porter Cable c2002 type 8, they aren't taking out the entire old drain valve. Don't just take out the piece that has the hole in the threaded part, also take out the piece it screws in to! There are two pieces to the OEM drain valve. The piece that the threaded part screws into was painted red, just like the compressor tank.

Great Product

After installing, I did have a slow leak, removed & applied teflon paste. Problem solved! This had teflon applied but did not do the job. Great product, wish I had known about it years ago.

Excellent replacement for standard compressor tank drain

This is an excellent upgrade for the old threaded-style compressor drain valves. I fought with my compressor drain to open in and to get it to seal for years before I made this change and I never look back. It works so well that it's no longer a chore to drain the compressor between uses (as is advised).

Fits great

My old drain was plugged and not working. And as well know, compressors need regular draining. Bought this one based on the fact that it was a ball valve as opposed to a screw valve so it shouldn’t (can’t) get clogged up. The valve is easy to install and relative easy to open Looks to be a good product.

Perfecta para compresores pequeños.

The media could not be loaded. La válvula está muy bien construida y se nota que los materiales son duraderos y de calidad. Para compresores pequeños que usan esta válvula de 1/4, es una gran mejora por un buen precio, ahorra tiempo y facilidad al drenar el tanque y supongo que ayuda a evitar que el tanque retenga humedad por que las válvulas convencionales bloquean la salida de líquido. Además es tan pequeña que no estorba al mover o rodar el compresor. Por el precio si vale la pena y la recomiendo.

Drains properly, short length

Excellent. When open it has a large hole to drain compressor quickly without the moisture stopping it like other ones. As well, this one is actually a little shorter than the factory one so I have more clearance wheeling it around. I have a dewalt upright 15 gallon compressor. When I had to replace the drain valve, I could not find one like the factory one and tried a few others. The others didn't drain like the original and they hung down lower so I actually snapped one off wheeling it around.

Great upgrade!

So much better than the crappy poor sealing and hard to undo screw drain valve that came with my compressor. Love this little 1/4 turn ball valve, quick and easy, does not leak.

Works like charm. I have installed on a air pressure tank to drain the bottom - it does the job perfectly. Didn't have to add anything to its threads as it already comes with sealer. Great product.
