These are warm enough to play in the snow with the pups, and high enough to keep snow out of boots
These tall Bog boots keep snow from my feet and are warm enough for Buffalo winters when playing with the dogs. I add an arch insert since my feet need more support, but there is room to do this. They are close fitting below my knees and I use a boot-jack to remove them. I do have skinny ankles and feet, as well as small calves, so these boots won't work for large calves, in my opinion. I also have a size 29" inseam, so taller people will fit the boot differently. The treads do not have a lot of traction, but cleats can be used if walking on ice. Overall, I am happy with this product.

My Favorite Winter Boot! Warm, Happy Feet!
I am so glad that I found this boot! I had a pair of the Men's Bogs that I bought at an outlet store years ago and they were the warmest and lightest boots I ever had. When they finally wore out I tried another brand but did not realize the neoprene rating (3mm) was not for winter. I mention that for those who, like myself, did not know the ratings. These boots are 7mm and have a minus 40 degrees rating so I expect them to do the job even when the polar vortex blows through! My shoe size is 8 1/2 M and the 9 is a perfect fit with a mid to heavy weight sock. I work on a farm in Maryland and the fall through spring here is cold and in the varied wet/icy/snow conditions I need a boot that is high, warm, and preferably light for getting around to care for the animals. The tread on these gives me a good grip - ground hugging really and I can get out of the way in a hurry when I need to. It is also easy to hose the boot off when needed - which is often - and they are truly waterproof. I also love that I don't feel like I have lead weights on my feet - these boots are a very nice weight for all the walking that I do and I am not so worn out at the end of the day as a result. Nice! I will mention that when we had a freeze recently and I had to walk over the frozen mud pocked with hoof prints I could feel the ground a little more than I like to - sort of like a moccasin might feel because of the sole style. That is the only downside I can find since I am using them as a farm work boot. These are not advertised as "work boots" so I only mention it for those who would not like that about the sole. This style has no heel - and a heel would raise me higher so that I probably would not "feel" the ground so much. I don't know if the work style boots would be as light though and that means a lot to me. Since there are many styles of Bogs I will purchase a different style made specifically for farm/ranch work next time. I am planning on improvising for now by adding an extra insole to these to add some cushion for those frozen mud days. They are so light and comfy I want to wear them every day!! I have been wearing these for a few weeks now and have not been cold, have not had a blister, and no sore feet at the end of my day. I have Warm, Happy Feet! I highly recommend this product from Bogs!

Good boots that did not fit
I ordered both the Bogs and Muck high boots. Positives are that the Bogs seem well made, have good traction and were surprisingly easy to get on and off. However, the Bogs were much wider, shorter, heavier and stiffer than the Muck. There was a protrusion in the inside heel that rubbed against my heel on every step. The Muck boots on the other hand were lighter, taller, narrower (though not exceptionally narrow, and just generally more comfortable. Returned the Bogs and kept the Muck boots, but your mileage may vary. The Bogs seemed very heavy duty and if they work for you they'd be a good choice.

Tight if you have big calves.
Boots are really well made and I really like them. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep them because I have big calves and it would have been uncomfortable after a few hours of wear.

Awww yiss, boots for any weather
I didn't buy these boots because they were pretty. I didn't buy them because they'd compliment my calves, or make me look taller or thinner. I already have riding boots for that, and while they're pretty and pretty comfortable and they make me feel pretty, they're absolute garbage in anything resembling actual winter or rough weather. I live in Wyoming, and our winters are notorious for being unmerciful and unrelenting. After experiencing highs of -30 for three days straight, and landing on my butt in front of people at least three times because my riding boots were garbage in actual winter conditions, I decided to take the plunge and buy myself some proper winter boots, looks be damned. About a week in, here's the verdict: PROS: >Warm warm warm warm warm. So warm. And comfy. My feet feel loved. >Excellent traction. A little bit sketchy on some black ice, but overall, I'm confident that if I walk somewhere, I won't embarrass myself slipping on ice. >My feet are somewhat janky, but the arch support feels solid. >Definitely buy a half-size up; I'm an 8.5 but bought a 9, and I'm not disappointed. >Bogs don't look so ugly you'd be ashamed to wear them in public. But they do have the air of workboots. If you're okay with that, then you'll love them. CONS: >Unfortunately, I can be a bit of a gym rat, and as a result, I have been cursed with rather muscular calves. As such, these boots are a little bit -- TIGHTER -- than I'd like. It's not so much so that I feel like my legs are being strangled, but the calf fit does take some getting used to. >Arch support is...okay. I have some plantar faccitis (I spelled that wrong), and as a result, I feel these boots are going to be a bit painful to wear in. But they feel forgiving, so that's a start. TO BE SEEN: 1: How do they fare in deep snow? ANSWER, 2019: They're great! Wear good socks and they will not steer you wrong! 2: What about slush? ANSWER, 2019: Slush, puddles, maybe wading into the shallows in a river: so long as you haven't worn out that wonderful neoprene liner (and I"m about there) these are legit WATERPROOF. 3: And extreme blizzardy death cold? ANSWER, 2019: You need good socks to support these for extreme cold. But that should go without saying. As the season goes on, I shall answer these questions. As of now, however, I don't regret this purchase in the slightest. Highly recommended.

Bogs run smaller then muck!!
IDK I'm thinking this pair 9 bogs either these are mislabeled or run small compared to muck brand???

Very comfy and warm.
These are the best winter boots. They are warm and waterproof. Excellent for my daughter who does a lot of outside winter activities. She loves them.

Boots are narrow fitting. Says 7 on the order form but when the box arrived it says 6.5 UK size.
Looked good boots but too small and I suspect the next size up would be too big ie the size 7 I ordered was 6.5UK and actually felt more like a 6. unless you have narrow feet there would be no room for thick socks

Great boots, VERY warm and perfect for winter.
I live on a farm in Sk so need a good waterproof boot rated -40. These were recommended to me on a FB women in agriculture page. They didn't disappoint. VERY warm, excellent grip in Icey conditions, easy to slip on. I'm a shoe sized 8 and I bought 9's and wear a thick winter sock with them. They're so comfy and lightweight too. Very good boot.
