Lightweight sweeper

This is a great tool for sweeping leaves, dirt, grass off the sidewalks , patio, deck. It is not super powerful, but it definitely gets the sweeping chores done quickly and easily. You get a lot of sweeping done on a single charge. Because it is very lightweight, there is no problem carrying it around and aiming it where it is needed. It is also relatively quiet, so you don't risk offending the neighbors. I have a cordless Black and Decker sander, so I ended up with two batteries (one on the sweeper, one on the sander) and now I can use both batteries on either of the tools to extend use time. I like it.

Good blower but may not have enough power for some

I didn't like the cord on my electric blower so tried this as an alternative. It works great at smaller jobs but will not handle large leave piles due to it's limited power. If you are transitioning from a corded electric blower to this and want the same ability, you may want something more powerful.

Light and quiet(er)

I only have one bitch about this blower. The on-off switch is sticky/hard to toggle. The previous 18v blowers had on-off switches that failed, so thinking B&D may have gone a little overboard in their redesign to make sure that didn't happen again. It's minor..

Love that lightweight but wish charge lasted longer then 20 minutes. But glad I bought it. A senior woman can easily use.

Only writing a preliminary review, charging battery so I can try it tomorrow. Arrived fast shipping ( 2 day but came overnight). Packed in a box much larger than the boxed item, with minimal crumpled packing paper). I outside shipping box was slightly damaged, possibly because the inside box slid around. ( packing box was too large). The blower looks fine with all parts intact and inside cardboard ‘sleeves’ holding blower tube and charger Appears to be genuine Black & Decker. I only need it to blow grass & leaves off concrete patio area. Will edit after battery is charged & I can try it out. If not it’s going right back. With better packing material! Edited: fully charged and used with no problem, lightweight, easy to hold, did a good job of clearing stone & concrete driveway and patio area of organic material, grass clippings, leaves and dirt. Strong enough to clean those areas without blowing mulch around. Used for about an hour, battery still ok. Switch a bit tricky .

Great for small jobs

I love this product. Having said that I use it more like a broom than a true leaf blower. It's great for grass clippings on the sidewalk, debris on my deck, etc.

Amazing for Garage/Woodshop

It is fantastic. The most important element is that I can use it all over my garage and not to worry about pencils, plastic or other light things sitting around. It is powerful enough to take the dirt away, but everything else remain in place. I do recommended.

Great on sidewalks, driveways and clearing snow of car but not good for on grass.

The media could not be loaded. It is OK but only for deck, sidewalks and driveways not good for on grass areas, but great on clearing light snow.

Works on light material, but no where near the power of electrical blowers

Mixed bag here. If you want something light that can blow very loose material like leaves around, this will do what you want. If you need power and be able to move stuff like soil on pavement, the power this blower offers is nowhere near as good as plug-in blowers. I am getting about 15-20 minutes from each battery charge, which is enough time to clear the patios (which is why I bought the blower) except when there's wet leaves, and then it just doesn't have enough "blow". That's when I dig out the electrical blower, which (sorry!) blows away this battery device with power. I don't see how this unit can be rated at 130mph, unless you're measuring a very tiny output in the center of the stream. OK, but it's not all bad. For small, fast jobs, I like this blower. It's a fraction of the weight of my electrical one, and I don't have to worry about two or three extension cords plugged in all the time. It's easy to break down into small pieces too. Since I have other B&D 20V units, this provides an extra battery charged for any of the devices.

Very practical device if paired with higher capacity battery

I bought this cordless sweeper understanding that it was to be used for "small jobs" on "hard surfaces", but it turns out that I can blow 3"x2" leaves just fine off my lawn. The power will indeed run out rather quickly, but that is why I bought a "Biswaye 2 Pack High Capacity 20V MAX 2.5Ah Replacement Lithium Battery for Black & Decker LBXR20-OPE LB20 LBX20 LB2X4020". They work on this machine. With one of those batteries I can clear my rather long driveway and all of the street in front of my house. I mark Black & Decker down for selling a good product with a too low capacity battery. Why limit one's truck to a range of a hundred miles -- sell the thing with a proper gas tank.

Blows air when the button is pushed

There's a button on one side and a hole on the other. When you push the button forward the air exits from the hole. Sometimes the air doesn't come out, then you have to charge the battery. The air pushes the leaves, but there's not enough power to remove the ones from inside the bushes. I bought it mainly to blow the water off my pool's heat pump, and it's enough for that. I can also push the leaves as a bonus

Great for light duty jobs

Very light weight product that works very well for light duties like grass, blowing off the driveway or garage. I have not had a chance to try it with snow however I’m sure it will work fine for light snowfalls. The 20v battery life is ok.. if you have a large area to blow off it you will likely need to charge after every use. With our small yard I charge it after every 2 lawn mowings. We purchased the specific unit because it uses the same battery as the BD grass trimmer (which is fantastic!). The trimmer came with a 40v lithium batter which fits the blower as well. So when one runs out I swap batteries to finish the job.
