Too big, yet basically comfortable.
I bought a pair of Bernie Mev shoes a few weeks ago from a local retailer. I was immediately drawn to the comfort of the stretchy woven material. However, when I ordered a pair from Amazon, in the exact size that I had ordered from the local store, I was quite disappointed to see that the exact size was now too big in the "Fame "style. I seem to find this comment about Bernie Mev shoes across the board. There seems to be quite a big variation in size among different styles. I'm not sure why they don't have more consistent sizing. On the plus side, however, I can wear the shoes all day. They are extremely lightweight, comfortable and great for walking. Though too big, they do not seem to slide or chafe.

I like these a lot
I like these a lot. I have a few friends with Bernie Mev shoes and they all love them so I thought I would give them a try. I do have a wide foot so had to sort of squeeze into them but after maybe a half hour they conformed to my foot! I had expected that the soles would be softer rubber but they are actually somewhat hard so they do make a sound on hardwood floors. They are very comfortable and well made.

Unhappy!
Love the shoes, but the strap on one shoe has stretched. Have to have repaired. This is my first pair. Before problem I ordered a second pair and I have the same problem with the strap stretching and losing elasticity. Not happy about it!

sizing is always the problem
I wear a size 8 1/2 or 9. I have six pair of bernie mevs. I buy a size 40 which in some size charts is a size 10. they would sell a lot more of these if they could figure out how to quote the sizes. The shoes are comfortable and I have tons of colors - that is also a problem in that half the time you cannot get the color you want in your size. Just keep sending them back until you get what works

Gorgeous shoe!
Love these Bernie Mev's, got a pair for my mom as a gift because she liked mine so much. The stretchy material is very comfortable and hugs the foot. My feet are somewhat narrow, however, and so the elastic could be a bit more snug for me. If that's not an issue for you, then I give it 5+!

Two different sized sandals
They both say “38” but one is much tighter than the other- so much so that you can see a difference. Returning them because the difference in tightness is distracting/annoying

3 Wears to tear! Buyer beware!
Wore these Bernie Mev shoes three times when uppers on both shoes began tearing away from the sole. I would consider this a defect. But since I was outside the 30 day Amazon Return Policy, Amazon refused refund and referred me to the manufacturer. We'll see where that goes!
