Delicious!

Love hot sandwiches, but hate the clean up. This is so easy to use and even easier to simply wipe clean. WIPE clean. When not in use, it sets on my toaster oven, out of the way but ready to set down on the counter.

It has no flavor as far as I can tell

I wipe it down while it’s hot and the cheese and oils come off really well. The use of it is versinke and easy we can do quesadillas and paninis with no problem. All of those turn out as good as the initial recipe or one’s ability to create and explore the combinations in a sandwich. As far as needing to comment on flavor it doesn’t have a negative effect on the flavor of our paninis the heating and crisping does in fact enhance the flavor of much of what we do on it. I have not been that hungry to eat my Bella Electric yet so I can’t comment to that flavor.

Good but not great

I find it a bit small . Ok for 2 or 3 person. Doesn’t seem to be sturdy either. Cooks slow. I wouldn’t buy again.

NOT NEW when received

My review is based simply off he fact that the item I received is most definitely NOT "New" as indicated for purchase. The item I received is all scratched up, you can tell its been down and cleaned, then resold to as "new". Not acceptable. Buyer beware.

Great Little Appliance!

I bought this particular panini press due to the small size, which was important to me b/c I don't have alot of kitchen storage. It is perfect for 2 sandwiches. It has a great non-stick coating which is super easy to clean. I wipe it down with a wet paper towel. So far I have only used it on the highest heat setting and it works fast and produces perfectly crunchy sandwiches on the outside and warm, melted ingredients on the inside. It's also very attractive with its highly polished chrome exterior. My only negative points and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars: The plastic lock (which holds the top and bottom together for easier moving/storage) is difficult to latch and does not stay put. The plastic drip tray is a bit flimsy. And so far, in my experience, the heating light does not work properly. It stays on all of the time instead of indicating "ready". But that is not really a problem for me as I can tell when its hot (only takes a few minutes). I admit, this is my first panini maker. I read alot of reviews here on Amazon before choosing this one based soley on its size. And I seem to be the first to review this one. It was between this one and a George Foreman grill. And once I touched the GF grill in person at a store, I didn't like it. Trust me, this is a much better quality appliance and well worth the money! So overall, I would highly recommend it!

Best sandwiches!

This has become the most used small appliance (after the keurig coffeemaker) in the house! We bought it for me for a Christmas present (hubby didn't even know what it was) but DH uses it more than I do. We do not preheat it, but start on medium so the cheese has a chance to melt for about a minute, then kick it up to medium high to brown it. Sometimes I turn the sandwich around to get a waffle effect. Yes, the top gets hot, but you wouldn't put your hand on a hot frying pan either. I like to put a lot more than just cheese on my grilled cheese sandwiches and with a panini grill you don't lose half the filling trying to flip it. I've been looking at these for a couple of years & kept telling myself a frying pan works just as well but this appliance is GREAT! Haven't done anything more than sandwiches yet but we've made plenty of those already. LOVE IT!
