Great costume but very cumberson

My son begged to get this costume for Halloween and it was a huge hit with everyone who saw him wear it. Adults and kids would stop him and want to see his costume. Although it says it is a child size, we had to pin up about 6 inches of fabric from the bottom and arms so that he could walk and use his hands (he's a VERY tall 6yo). The bad part is that he didn't want to wear it very long because it is so cumbersome. The thin plastic/vinyl jacket is very lightweight but the contraption that is used to hold the plastic neck piece above the head is flimsy and uncomfortable. It is two thick, sorta heavy plastic stilt looking pieces that rest on each shoulder and the plastic neck piece connects to the stilts. After about 5 minutes, my son wanted to take it off because it was heavy or would fall over and lay on the back of his head. Overall, it was a very cute idea, but we would not order again. This item costs too much for the limited amount of time that my son was actually able to wear it. Not a great value. If it were somehow made to be more comfortable, this would be a great costume.

A bit flimsy and uncomfortable, but looks so cool

Very flimsy, and we needed multiple wash cloths at the shoulders and under the armpits because it was very uncomfortable. Also, the part that sits on the shoulders is too small (he is 9). But it looks so cool when he is in it. Keeping it on for any extended period (such as > 30 min) is probably out of the question, but he loves it.

Firstly, my 9 year old son was a star in this costume this year. Everyone loved it! Friends and neighbors alike kept going on about how amazing it was. He really pulled it off by never taking his hand away from his head! He was happy and that is what really matters. The only issue (and I say that lightly) is the fabric on the robe is definitely not high quality (it felt like a stiff plastic table cloth / fabric blend) and the edges are not finished well. They are surged to prevent raveling but nothing else. Due to my son's size, I had to hem the arms and length so that didn't even show. It held up great. I was even able to remove the hems and put it away for my younger son to wear for a later halloween. All in all, I would definitely recommend this costume.

Awesome costume for kids, just needs a bit of modification.

This costume was a huge hit for my 9 year old son. People gave great compliments everywhere he went. I would love to give this costume 5 stars, but I had to modify it a bit before my sin could wear it for any length of time. The shoulder harness that holds up the costume above the head is hard, rigid plastic; and needs to be padded with something before you let your child wear it. I used old washcloths and duck tape. I also had to hand sew, and reinforce the seams above where my child's head came through the robe, as well as at the base of the sleeves. These modifications only took about 20 minutes to complete, and then the costume was ready to wear.

Love it, but shoulders were cracked

We really like the costume. However, the shoulders are cheaply made plastic and were cracked before we even took them out of the box. The costume fit my son perfectly. We bought the ST size. He is about 5 feet tall and wears an 18 in boys. It is true that the shoulders are hard to keep in place, so we are trying to engineer a solution to that. My son loves it, and that's what matters.

Awesome!

Best costume award! I did his makeup and he sold it! We modified the top by putting it on his chest protector for motor cross. This made the costume comfortable for the long run. Without the modification, the shoulder anchors would be very uncomfortable. My kiddo is 5' and slender, this fit him very well. If he was much taller, it would be too short.

Great costume - won best dressed out of 20k+ kids.

Costume is good. The material for the cloak is quite thin and would absolutely recommend using a cord rope for a belt. We added some more gore to the top of the neck and padded under the shoulder section. My son got soooo many compliments and won best dressed. A great costume we would absolutely recommend.

Junk

Talks about cheap junk. The cape is the same material as a plastic disposable picnic tablecloth. The plastic neck piece is worth maybe $5 and I could have 3d printed better fitting shoulder pieces that didn’t immediately dig in and hurt. Returned immediately upon receipt and got a new costume.

My son loves this costume

The costume accurately matches the pictures and descriptions. My son loves it. Sizing is aligned with the product details. As with most Halloween costumes, the quality is not stellar, but I have come to expect that with kids' costumes in general.

Decent costume

Good costume and looks well but it is pretty basic. My 10 year old daughter complained the shoulder bits were hurting her and she couldn't keep it on for very long. Everyone did comment on how good it looked though. The price was a bit high for what it was.

The plastic neck was very thin. We received it already craked in many places. We had to tape it so it would hold together.
