Books for infants

4 month old loved it

Got this as a Christmas gift for my 4 month old niece. I think this may have been her favorite gift and because she was so interested in it, her 2 1/2 year old sister tried several times to get it away from her. The number of pages is somewhat disappointing but at this age I was just happy to find something she liked so much. The teething star and circle were in her hand the whole time during her visit, she's not teething yet. The spine is black and white and the black is rubberized. The pages make crinkle noises and are thick, with two teething corners on the front page. She enjoyed looking at the book by herself and feeling things out.

Buy this toy!

This was one of my daughter's favorites when she was a baby. She absolutely loved the scrunchy pages and all the different textures. I got this as a lightning deal and otherwise probably wouldn't have purchased this if I would have had a chance to look at it. I wasn't all that impressed with the pictures and textures as they weren't all that stimulating, or so I thought! It's for the best that I didn't have a chance to check it out because my daughter would not have been with one of her favorite things to play with!

My 5 month old loves this!

I bought this book for my daughter when she was 4 months old, it was torture for her at first because she was intrigued by the sound of the crinkling but she did not have the skills to manipulate it the way she wanted. Now that she is 5 months old she loves it. She squeals delightedly at the crackling noise and enjoys chewing on the teethers. She is usually too excited about the crinkling to focus on the textures but as she gets older I suspect they will simply add to the experience. 5 stars for this book because her enjoyment of it allows me to actually enjoy a shower!

Good for Older Babies!

I bought this for my little guy when he was about 6 months old. I loved the bright colors, textures, crinkling sounds and softness of the book. He didn't play with it until just recently at 10 months old. He's really into books now, so he'll crawl over and grab it from the toy basket and start turning the pages. LOVES the crinkling sound and chews on the soft pages. I finally figured out that if your baby isn't into something, just put it away and re-introduce a little bit later.

Adorable book with chew toy corner and lots of textures!

Adorable! I loved this book so much that I had bought it for a gift and ended up buying another for my little one! Cute pictures and lots of textures to touch! I love that it even has a chewable edge which is much better then chewing the corner of a book!

LOVE IT!

My little 5 month old LOVES this book. It goes EVERYWHERE with us! I love the string with the dangles on the end. I can hold onto those while he plays with it, and if he drops it, it doesn't go on the floor. Plus, when he's laying on the floor with it, they are extra things for him to chew on!
