These just work
I have purchased plenty of jeans in my 56 years, at a variety of prices. We all complain how difficult it is to find jeans that fit. Levi’s were my go-to for the longest time, but they started to disappoint and the styles just stopped working for me. I tried Wrangler and Democracy and Rock and Roll Cowgirl —, all kinds and all prices. NYDJ (16w) are in my closet, but honestly, these are my general go-to right now. I have them in cream stone for my “Khakis” and greenwich/darker when I am kicking around. They are comfortable, but do not overly stretch out throughout the day. They fit my waist without any major gap (I wear a belt) and look darn good, especially considering the price. I now have 5 pair in different shades. I’m not sure why bootcut isn’t offered, but I can make these work with boots or just switch to NYDJ. The one big thing for me….I am SO tired of everything suction cupped to me. Fitted is different than painted on…where did all the real jeans go? Straight leg and bootcut without artificial holes all over place, and maybe some cotton in there? While I do keep looking, I’d say give these a go if you are looking for a decent every day straight leg.

Received the wrong size
These are nice jeans (especially for the price!) and I wanted very much to like them. BUT, I ordered a size 16 and received a size 16W. This makes a huge difference in the fit! The 16W are baggy in the seat and thighs on me, whereas I think a 16 would have fit just fine. Very disappointed. Will be returning these.

Here's why I returned these jeans
I ordered a 16 W Plus in the short length and the length was just right (I need 28" inseams) and so was the fit around my ample hips -- but the crotch was too low and the waist was way too big. Also, the button could barely go thru the button hole (and the hole was weird like no one finished making it). I considered running the jeans through the laundry in hot water to see if the waist would shrink, but decided not to because there would still be the button and crotch problems. There was one more problem that told me I had to return the jeans: the knees felt very strange when I walked. The fit at the knees looked right, but walking made the fabric feel too tight. I've never experienced that with jeans before. Also, the fabric overall was kind of stiff, but that might have gotten looser if I laundered the jeans. It took me a lot longer to write this review than it took me to decide to return them. However, there was one plus. The workmanship looked very good, with the exception of the button hole.
