Leaks after 23months

I was very happy with my Aquajoe hose until it started leaking after 23 months! A month before the warranty ran out! Luckily they are replacing my leaky hoses but the replacement hoses will only be under warranty a month due to the original warranty. No new 2 year warranty with new hose!!

Buyer be aware.

Overall great hose in fact I bought a replacement but be careful if you pull hose around sharp corners. Mended. 1st hose but not ideal.

It Kinks

It's made of cloth so of course it kinks. In fact, if you're holding it straight down (like to fill up a kiddie pool) it kinks at the head and you have to back up to get any flow at all. It doesn't take up much space and is easy to carry and store. It lays pretty flat on the ground so there's no tripping over it. Overall, it functions like I need it to but it kinks more than the hoses I'm used to and certainly more than I was expecting.

So far so good

I bought this to wash my car & rinse off the stairs to my condo whenever my dog has an accident and it’s perfect for reaching all the way up the stairs and to the parking lot.

Not very durable

Bought this product last year in September. . . . used for the second time this weekend and it developed a horrible leak. The inner lining which is a rubber hose, burst and leaked water all over the campsite. Do not recommend.

Tastes terrible!

All the reviews are pretty sweet. I needed something sturdy and space efficient since I’m a full time RV’er. Nobody said anything about the life-changes you’ll need to accommodate this hose. First, make sure to put on a robe when you run outside to the spigot to fill your coffee pot. Keep your mouth closed while showering. Adding flavor liquid to your drinking water is the equivalent of a sweaty dude adding Axe Body Spray. Ever had to take a Hibiclens bath prior to surgery? Welcome to your new skin smell. So basically, this hose stinks and tastes like ????. It works great for what I bought it for, but it has made my water taste and smell horrible! It’s been two weeks and it still hasn’t dissipated!

I was delighted with their customer support in handling a warranty replacement. The agent, John, was curious, knowledgeable and efficient. I couldn't have been more impressed in the way I was taken care of.

BUY IT!

This hose exceeded all expectations. I gave it three stars because I knew you'd look here first. It's been run over by cars, a golf cart & a tractor for 8mo now and is still in perfect working order as of 3/5/23. Keep good rubber washers in it and enjoy. I will buy this same hose again if/when I need a replacement.

Hit & Miss...swing and a miss on second hose now...

*UPDATE*-Ordered 2nd hose to replace the first one that leaked, and yes, it has leaked now after 3 months use. Full disclosure, we keep this hose in front of house that get's full sun, we always drain-release pressure before it goes back on the reel, the other hose, (25'), we have is at back of house, doesn't get much if any sun, it is still going strong. Plus the water get's slimy on the front of the house hoses we have had issues with, maybe not rated for sun exposure??? Purchased my first hose, 25'-back of house, over a year ago, still working good. (Bought direct from Sun-Joe). Seen same model, 50' on Amazon, so purchased. Leaked right out of the box. Not at the end's as some people experienced, but about 1/3 down the length, and not a dribble, probable a pretty large hole/tear in the inner hose, as almost none came out the end. Great concept, but poor quality control by manufacturer. Amazon doing exchange, maybe next one is a "HIT"... ***New, New UPDATE*** Latest hose we rcvd from Amazon eventually started to leak as well, this time after 4 months. Did a warranty return directly through Snow-Joe(SUN-Joe). They just asked for a pic and or video, (I sent both). They processed it very quickly and have sent out a replacement, (For those keeping score that is a total of 3-50' I have had fail), not expecting this one to last either, and if it doesn't I think I will move on to another style of hose, back to the standard rubber tried & true version. I really wanted these too work, great concept, but the longevity just isn't there. I own a Sun-Joe pressure washer, love it! So they do have some great product's...

Don't waste your money

I was initially pleased to finally have a hose that is not a burden to handle. It is indeed extremely light and a pleasure to use. Meanwhile, the fun brutally stopped about a month after using it. The inside tube ruptured and water was leaking through the fiber jacket. It was, for sure, a manufacturing defect. I contacted SnowJoe (SunJoe) and they quickly sent me a replacement hose under warranty. Since they did not request the original product, I performed an autopsy on the failed hose. The inner tube did split along the fusing line, which suggests a possible manufacturing defect. Once the new hose arrived, I installed and used it. My heart was replenished with joy once again. Dark times would come back less than two months later. The new hose started pouring water from its jacket once again. Same surgery. Same cause of death. Now, unlikely to be a manufacturing defect. In the end, they both ended in the trash can. I bought another similar product from another manufacturer - a green ultralight auto-expanding and auto-collapsing hose. I used it all summer and fall. Still working fine. In the end, the SunJoe hose is a nice looking and very light hose. But since hoses should not be disposable products - at least with a less than two months lifespan - you should really buy something else. And by the way, I do take great care of my stuff...

Best customer service ever!!!!!

I bought one last year for camping, the 25 foot version. Lasted all of last year and this one too. Ordered a second last June for the extra length just in case. 2 days later it just let go, a hole maybe. I got angry and threw it out and bought a vinyl hose....piece of crap but it didn't leak. Didn't coil back up either. This September I thought about a second Joe hose (3rd I guess). I read the reviews and found that there was a warranty. So I contacted them. Wow, now that is customer service. Very impressed, getting a replacement hose which I could have had I suppose, had I read the info on the box, which I didn't. Lesson learned. Anyway, first hose I bought is still alive and kicking. Great for RV storage.

Hose started to leak internally after 2 weeks of light use

The hose started to leak internally (inside the protective jacket) after 2 weeks of light use. It's unusable now. I have been able to get a replacement item under the warranty.
