Too short spout

Spout on faucet only goes forward into sink 3” from back of sink. Called and asked about a larger spout they said they make a different faucet with a longer spout but do not sell it separately we would have to buy the whole new faucet to get the spout. I Recommend buying the Chicago version of this way more options

One star or five??

The media could not be loaded. OK, this faucet requires some caveats stated at the outset. Accepted, however, and this becomes a truly fine piece of plumbing. What are the caveats? First, this comes without a drain piece. You must buy the drain assembly separately. This is probably the case because there are a variety of potential uses for this faucet, some of which will generally call for a more commercial/industrial drain. Second, this faucet strikes me as an old American Standard design that hasn't been changed in forty years--or maybe fifty because it comes with a rigid tee connecting the two valves to the central faucet and making that connection will be very challenging for many homeowners. You will need to carefully measure and drill your lavatory/counter top holes and then install the two valves and central faucet very loosely so that you can wiggle the pieces to make the rigid tee you first screw onto the faucet beneath the countertop fit into the two valves (to which it attaches by included compression fittings). It is doable, but it will be a challenge for many homeowners. What's crazy about the old-style rigid tee connection is that American Standard sells a tee conversion kit allowing the use of flexible hoses underneath the countertop, and I suspect flex hoses may actually be less expensive than the rigid tee American Standard puts in standard with the faucet. I can't find the part here on Amazon, but on American Standard's site the conversion kit sells for $50 and is found by searching for part number M970033-0070A. Now this is the kind of faucet you find in old-style doctor's offices and hospital restrooms. It's built like a tank and there's nothing especially aesthetically pleasing about it--unless, of course, that's the look you're going for. For instance, the handles screw to the valve stems right through their centers with unadorned flat-head machine screws. BUT, installed right, this faucet will last and last and last. It's built to do so. If you want to see the installation challenges and how to overcome them, I try to give a picture of what you have to do in the video I've included. I don't actually install the faucet, but I try to show the process and how you have to leave wiggle space initially before locking down the two valves and center faucet to the counter/lavatory top.

Another Quality American Standard Product

We ordered this to use in a sink in a coffee bar that will be in our new kitchen addition. I chose this because we have several American Standard products in our home, and they have performed well. (I love my AS Champion 4 toilets.) This is a nice kitchen faucet set that appears to maintain American Standard’s quality that I’m familiar with. The finish is nice, and the faucet handle design would be good for someone with grip problems.
