Better than expected

I bought these sponges to see how they compared to the Laura Mercier foundation and powder sponge. It’s a bit thinner and more slick - it’s not necessarily designed for applying foundation so I can’t hold that against it. However, I was really pleasantly surprised at the finish! My foundation went on really well, almost like an airbrush finish. Only time will tell how long it lasts, but I’m impressed enough to keep using it. Plus, it’s a good value for the price!

These work well but are very thin.

I use this type of sponge to apply pressed powder to even out my skin tone. I like the texture of these sponges and feel that they work well to blend the powder into my skin. They're a nice size, but I wish they were a little thicker.

Bargain for the price!

So I know they are supposed to be used with their foundation but I used these with mine and it works just as well. I have used these and rinsed them multiple times and they are definitely holding up. They feel thin but whatever they are made out of definitely is built to work for multiple uses. I was worried to spend $3 for two pads but so far its held up for two weeks and I feel that is definitely worth it. I do use them slightly damp as I spritz the pad before applying my foundation and I just feel like it goes on smoother this way. Overall no compaints!

Great sponges for powder

Elf has been bringing out a lot of great products as of recently that certainly match in quality of some of the more expensive brands. Unlike most, I actually do prefer using sponges to apply my face powder compared to brushes. It always seems to go on with better coverage and smoother when you use a sponge, but WHEN you have a good sponge. Over the years I've tried different sponges of different materials that have done all kinds of bad on my face, so admittedly I have been using the same sponge for quite a while now. I wanted to try the Elf camo sponges as I've been pleasantly surprised with Elf's products recently. The sponge is very soft and smooth, a lovely velvet feel to them with a little stretch. I decided to use the sponge with my creme puff face powder. I applied a little product to the sponge and softly wiped underneath my eyes. The powder applied smoothly and evenly in just a swipe. I then continued to swipe across my t zone areas and again, it applied smoothly with full coverage without appearing cakey. Safe to say, I can now put my old sponge in the bin and start using these! Only downside I would say is that they are a little pricey, but other than that, I'm happy with the results.

Fab make up sponges

I’ve been on the search for some new face powder sponges/pads, because many cosmetic manufacturers sadly no longer include them with the purchase of pressed or loose face powder. These sponges are sold for use with the Cano Powder foundation as a blending sponge, yet i have been using them to apply loose and pressed face powder. They pick up a good amount of product and apply it perfectly without looking cakey or messy. I’ve not cleaned them yet so cannot comment on how they hold up after being washed, but i can’t see any reason why they would perform any less satisfactory as they feel quite sturdy. Overall i’m really pleased with these sponges and will gladly be purchasing a few more.

Nice sponges but overpriced

I have been using E.l.f Cosmetics for years and absolutely love them. They have such a great range of affordable makeup and skincare. I say these powder sponges and decided to give it a go. I am so happy with these sponges, I love everything about them from their soft-touch feel and high-quality finish. They are made for their camo powder foundation but they can be used with any powder, even with loose powders. They’re a good size and easy to use. The sponges are perfectly smooth, and dense and pick up makeup really well. Overall they are very nice sponges but definitely overpriced.

A packet of just 2 blending sponges (each around 5.5 cm diameter)

(From one of the current stock images above you could be forgiven for thinking that there are 5 in the pack, IMO.) From e.l.f., designed to be used with the brand’s ‘Camo Powder Foundation’, 2 x lightweight, smooth blender sponges in a creamy white colour that are soft textured and latex free. A nice thickness, they each measure just over 5.5. cm in diameter. Popping through the letterbox, they came simply presented in a resealable plastic-type packet measuring 8 cm x 9.5 cm, in a jiffy transit envelope. 4 images attached
