Seems high quality, time will tell

My recent experience with belts is that none last very long because they are made with cheap materials, such as vinyls and split cowhide that is then glued back together. This was a more expensive belt, and like previous ones I’ve bought, claims to be higher quality. As I said in the title, so far so good, but time will tell.

Highest quality but disappointed in color

This belt is top notch in quality and construction. Just what you expect from Alan Edmonds. However, beware that if you are purchasing this belt to match an older pair of "chili" shoes you will be disappointed. They do not match. It seems that the company is now manufacturing items with a new and darker color and calling it "chili". In reality, the new color is actually know as "dark chili" but they simply call it chili. Seems to me that if you are going to promote your shoes as a lifetime product you should expect some customers will take that seriously and own resoled shoes for 20+ years. You should differentiate your colors appropriately! Also beware that if you choose your waist size when ordering you will receive a belt that is the wrong size! I chose waist size because the belt size is listed below the waist size and is greyed out. It led me to believe they were telling me a 40" waist needs a 42" belt. Yes, I know that. But after choosing a 40” waist they sent a 40" belt. Makes no sense to have both sizes listed. They are not interchangeable. Whoever is shipping the belts does not understand! You can select the actual size you want despite the fact that it is greyed out!

Not worth the price

Purchased to match some dark chili ae shoes. Color is great, but the belt wears quickly. I have a number of full grain belts purchased at half the price that hold up better and look just as good.

Made in USA w Italian leather

Fits smoothly! You can easily tell a difference between rubbish Chinese belt to American belt with Italian leather. Extremely happy

Be careful--picture of chili belt is incorrect

The image for the chili version is inaccurate. Notice the different buckle, the color and contrast stitching--they are all wrong. I ordered this and what I received was a dark red/brown (chili) color with the same appearance otherwise as the black one pictured. This seems to be a picture of Allen Edmonds Yukon, a more expensive belt that seems to not be available on Amazon, though you can find a picture. Allen Edmonds belts are high quality, it's just that this one is not depicting the correct item. I should also note that this color has sizes by "waist" size, rather than the usual length of belt. I ordered one for 32" waist .thinking that would be a 34" length--what I received was 32" length

Belt itself is great, but sizing is NOT accurately described.

I bought a "30 inch waist" size because, even in a response from a seller, it was described as being to the CENTER hole. I wear a 29 or 30 inch waist in dress pants, but this belt is tight at the largest hole, inconsistent with description. Had I but gotten it at $30 off, I'd return it in a heartbeat, but I need the belt to match my dark chili shoes for my wedding, so don't have time to shop for alternatives.

Same excellent quality

This is a replacement for the same belt I purchased over five years ago. The old one was still serviceable but my waist is two inches smaller that it was then. I was obviously happy with the previous one and I am equally happy with the new one. Glad to see that Allen Edmonds has not compromised their quality.
