Takes the jolt out of the line
I was looking to add about ten feet to my tow line. Then I saw this rope and decided to try it. It only adds about three feet, but the elasticity means no more hard jolts when the boat takes up the slack.

No Surprises
I got exactly what I ordered and it performed as the vendor described. It starts out 3 feet and stretches to 5 feet. It does take some of the jerking out when you get slack in the line, but not much. I think my expectations were higher than they advertised. That’s on me not the vendor. Airhead is a great vendor.

Great for tubing
Pulling 3 kids behind on a 96" tube works fine. We have a 90hp outboard on our pontoon and this helps store the energy as we turn into a wake. TIP: Shorten your tow line to make up for the extra length of the bungee extension.

i'm not sure how you go about designing or building a better quality rope of this type
i do a lot of fabrication/modifying in my garage and i'm all about overkill, so i bought two and use them in parallel. this doesn't put so much strain on a single unit, but still reduces the shock to the rider, the tube, and the boat. they're cheap, so just buy two and attach them side by side - that way they're each doing half the work. as for breakage, i'm not sure how you go about designing or building a better quality rope of this type: it's combining rubber and rope, so from a technical standpoint, that's kind of impressive without spending a lot of money. what i'm getting at is i don't expect it to be bullet-proof, especially with all the things that can strain these things like submersion ...that's greatly going to increase the risk of failure no matter how light the rider load is.

Doesn't "Bungee"
Doesn't really "bungee" just stays completely stretched while riding. Riders and I don't feel any difference. Only when stopped and pulling on the rope by hand can we tell its a bungee. Works good as a rope extension though.

Poor quality
Premise is good. Unfortunately started to fray and broke after just 1 week. And that's just with 3 kids using it no adults.

Nice, works well
Takes out most of the jerk from rope slack, but not all. Nice little add-on, and for the price you really can't go wrong
