Easy

Easy to install. Not as sophisticated as other models but shows me what I want. This is my 2nd sensor. 1st one lasted 5 years. You'll still need the inside display monitor. They are also sold as a kit.

Works good for replacement

This was a replacement after 8 years when the wind gauge failed. Easy to install with one screw because of my modular take down 12 foot mast on the roof. Much better improvement in temp and humidity that matches my other sensors within one point or zero point error. Works with my old display on all channels. While here I want to say that the AcuRite rain stand alone gauges are a total failure. Over the years I have had to replace or repair them dozens of times and the man hour lost is a waste. None of them every match. So, I built a rain gauge IAW the NWS model (they cost $80-$125) and used a cheap $10 , 1-7/8 inch glass insert. It works perfect and correct.

Wireless weather station

We had been using this anemometer for years, until a strong wind broke its mounting pole and it fell over top first and broke into many pieces. So we promptly ordered a new one to replace the broken one. It arrived soon and the replacement was WIFI compatible with the previous one.

Water will ingress over time and corrode the electronics

My first one was fine for 3 years and then the wind speed quit. I took it apart and found that the reed switch that pics up the magnet on the rotator was rusted out. Was going to just solder on a new reed switch but noticed more corrosion on other electrics. So I bought a whole new unit and put Kapton tape on everything inside. May that will help it survive a little longer.

KTXSANAN326 is on the air!

I bought this along with the Acurite bridge. I wanted this because I really didn't want the display. I'm more interested in the weather data it observes than the display feature. I have an Ecobee3 smart thermostat (actually two...one for each of my HVAC systems) and it uses averaging of nearby stations to derive its own determination of temps and humidities outside. The other stations are relatively distant and we live in the hills northwest of San Antonio where temps can vary substantially. It performs well out of the box. Placed at a distance of about 100 feet from the bridge, I get 2 out of 4 bars of signal strength. Not as strong as I had hoped, but I also have a home made of stucco on top of metal lathe which makes it quite the Faraday cage. Still, it works fine. Got it all linked up on Acu-link and sharing the data on a Wunderground PWS. I did load it with Lithium AA batteries to ensure reliability. I mounted it on a ten foot piece of EMT conduit attached to a metal fence post with screw clamps. That worked great. The nominal dimension of the conduit was slightly over 3/4 inch and so the included screw wasn't long enough. Fortunately I had a longer screw that fit the hole well and worked fine. Overall, the install was good and it is working fine. Readings seem to be in line with other area stations. Not counting on failures, but I note that there are replacement parts available on Amazon at fairly low cost...and the hole thing wasn't terribly expensive to begin with. Pretty happy with the product and the hole setup process. Good purchase for me. You can check out my PWS on Wunderground where the Station ID is KTXSANAN326.

Worked to replace the one I had

Came with all the hardware and showed right up on the receiver after putting in batteries. The one I had stopped reporting to the base after 7-8 years being on my roof.

I live below sea level in the Low Desert. There is a LOT of sand, but this sensor works awesome and is super easy to clean! ????

Replacement of the sensor unit

This part was to replace the outdoor sensor portion of the weather station. Delivery was earlier than expected and though I had the original instructions for the 4 year old system easy to follow instructions were included as well as all new mount hardware. Part was easily installed and paired to the base system and operational without problems.

Amazing service!

Product is exactly as described and replaces the unit we had that was 7 or 8yr old and out in all weather from +39c to -39c. Product is exactly as described and what I needed. The service was AMAZING. I couldn't believe it was shipped and received in a couple of days and got here in time for Valentine's day. Can't say enough good things about the service. Thank you.

Had two units since 2012 and now getting another one

These are great sensors. Got my first one in 2012, then it stopped working in 2018 so got my 2nd full set with the latest indoor display. I then realized that one 3-in-1 sensor can connect to 2 displays simultaneously without using extra battery power. So now my current one from 2018 stopped working suddenly so another one is on the way to work with my 2 screens. Best product ever by Acurite. Will definitely buy again from them in the future.

My Old Unit Stopped Working

We bought the complete weather station at Costco several years ago at a great sales price . I have had it for approx. 5 years and living in Canada the out side unit does see a lot of abuse with our climate . I noticed that it stopped sending signals to the inside control unit , so I changed the batteries and tried to re pair the two units but nothing worked . On my final attempt to fix the outside unit I was carrying it in the house and fell and broke it plus hurt my back in the fall. I was relived to find out that I could buy just the outside unit and not the whole Weather Station which are quite pricey for retired people . Everything is back up and and running except me.
