I just bought these slippers for the second time after my first pair started to give out after three years of use. They feel good, they are warm, and they work well. They might not last forever, but they hold together for a good, long time. These slippers feel great on my feet. I walk on a lot of wood and tile floors at home, and these slippers have a great, supportive, cushioning sole. From inspecting the soles on my first pair of these, I can see that there is the outer sole, then a dense foam piece, then a cushy foam piece, and then the fleece liner. All of that adds up to no foot or back pain for me as I shuffle around the house. These fellas are warm. The fat cushion under the foot keeps the cold from penetrating from below. Then, the fairly stiff, wool-blend upper hugs the feet with the warmth you’d expect from thick wool. And oh my, it’s Italian wool too - must be good, right? I like how these slippers perform. The sole is good and grippy and won’t let anything wet get through. I can take the garbage out to the garage and not worry about the wet, salty mess on the floor - the sole keeps me nice and dry. Also, the elastic around the top help give the slippers a good, snug fit too - you can wiggle them on and off, but you don’t have to worry about them just falling off on their own. Okay, now the downside. They do eventually wear out. First thing I saw was that the wool upper on one side wore out down to some foam piece. Upon further inspection, there are several spots where the wool is worn thin. Also, the handsome suede leather trim has begun to separate in a few spots from where it is stitched onto the outer sole. But keep in mind, this wear happened over three years of almost-daily use. I estimate over three thousand hours was spent in these puppies before they were retired (yes, I agree, that is a lot of time spent in slippers). Overall, I think the useful life of this product is just fine. If you are looking for good slippers with a good cushion, then these just might be the ones for you.
