Comfortable, durable and effective
There are two types of foam plugs, lighter, firmer less dense and heavier, softer and more dense models. This is the later, these are a little more dense, a little softer and work better. The best comparison is almost normal foam rubber to memory foam. These are very soft like memory foam, the skin is very very smooth, no pores or texture and do a great job blocking sound. Because they are softer they are a little slower to expand into your ear canal but it's worth it. They seal tightly and are extremely comfortable. I can sleep all night in them and they don't create pressure points or make your ear hurt like the former ones do. I use these for two things: for sleeping when my wife is snoring. Now this is not normal snoring. Imagine two bears wielding chainsaws, riding open piped two stroke dirt bikes, fighting over territory. It's like that. And maybe one of them is blasting Ted Nugent guitar riffs on a huge boom box. Seals it right out. Nothing. I also shoot PRS rifle competition and also shoot several 10" AR pistols. These can handle both of those with aplomb. Word of warning. You HAVE to install these correctly or they will NOT work. GENTLY roll then into a very small roll like you would with playdough snakes. Do it slowly, don't just smash it. If you get creases, they will hurt. Just gently squeeze it smaller. Next, for you right ear hold the plug in your right hand, keep rolling, reach OVER your head with your left hand, grasp the top of your ear and pull up, and back. The goal here is to get your ear canal as straight as possible. Up and back. Slide the plug in pretty deep. It has to go into the smaller part of the ear canal. Hold it with your finger tip and let it expand. It will start to and you'll feel it touch and start to seal. You can let go then. If you don't get deep enough, it'll kinda push itself out, reroll and do it again. Then repeat with the other side. You will not lose the plug, it will expand out of your ear and leave you plenty to grab. They're also very tough so you can grab a teeny bit and pull it. Last, don't litter. Finding a disgusting ear plug at the range is as gross as a floss stick. So throw them in the trash, not the ground. Great ear plugs

I usually get Heroes blue color ear plugs...but of recent...their quality control and use of cheaper materials have pushed me to try other ear plugs such as this 3M version. To start...my earholes are big(ger) than normal...so the Heroes version fit perfectly for me....however these ones allow noise to filter thru. The way i use it now is to insert the other butt end into my ear that fits better to cancel noise. The material used is much better than what Heroes is using now. The 3M version feels like what Heroes was a few years ago when they actually paid attention to the customer. Now Heroes is only in for the masses and a quick dime so their quality is dropped to sub-par. These 3M ones are good...if you are a female and smaller ear holes, these will work wonders. Comfortable, and good quality. I give 4 thumbs up for this product...but i wish they would make ones a bit wider to be able to fit into bigger ear holes. I would be willing to pay a bit more for that too... Unlike Heroes, they don't care about customer satisfaction anymore...only about what goes in their pockets...therefore I no longer support Heroes anymores.... I'm now going to support 3M. Good job sirs...good job.

Garbage
Half the size of the ones at the drug store. I put one in my ear and had to use small tweezers to get it out, it did not expand totally and did not cancel out any noise. Can't use garbage and they are non returnable????

Exactly what I've been looking for!
I've tried different earplugs I've received from airlines, as well as those from different markets, but so far those yellow 3M TaperFit2 that I received from one of my plane rides have been working the best for me for sleeping! I'm so happy to find this item available in 200 pairs on Amazon. The orange 3M 1100 ones were probably too big for my ear canals so I always get pain and inflammation if I wear them for consecutive days. I don't have this problem with those yellow ones. The other brands I've tried tend to loosen up really quickly and would have fallen out of my ears during my sleep so I had to toss them very frequently, and I just don't find this cost effective. Thank to this awesome invention, I can have quiet, restful sleeps! 200 pairs should definitely last me a while!

they fit in ear well. I have found that instead of discarding them, after using them, I wash them with hand soap, rinse them out real good and let them dry for a day or two. They seem to work even better after washed and dried. Maybe it is just me, but I have no problem with using, washing and re-using them. Granted, if you aren't thorough with your washing, maybe you can cause an infection, so don't be flippant about washing them...do a good job and these will see you through. At my rate, the hundreds I purchased will last me several lifetimes....

It's like throwing out your money in the Garbage. They stop nothing . I use the Honeywell brand before they were good Excellent. I try those because of better reviews. Be Aware that you cannot Return those.
